newbies vs oldies

i've brought a few newbies here...

the oldies are obviously hostile towards newbies, which is normal behaviour (from what i've seen on forum behaviour). most of them anyway.

oldies:
how do u feel towards newbies? do u feel threatened? do u see an opportunity to bully?

its a tradition
either the oldies act like jerks or warn the noobs to run and hide =o)
and then once the newbies are semi oldies they dont matter anymore unless theyre cool or something.
