I have always had a data plan - but if you get a data plan, the phone becomes cheaper.

I just wanted to get the phone before it was launched everywhere. If you want, wait till Bell/Rogers/Telus all ship the phone. It will drop in price for sure.

Why would you get a data phone without a data plan? It serves no purpose than. Wait a couple of months and Bell, Telus, and MTS will all add GSM phones. Data plans will become much cheaper.

yeah it was a silly question
i'm just curious if you could do that though. i think it's manditory to get a data plan with phones like that
i don't know too much about it/ how much extra it costs to add on monthly

I doubt it's going to drive prices down considering the three work perfectly as an oligopoly, but no harm in hoping.
