Reading Quran in Arabic or English?!?!?!

Aite soo my mom is making me rmriz ayat-ul Qursi.. and i was like i should rmr it in English soo everytime i say it i know what im saying..instead of just sayigng some arabic. And she got maad at me.. saying that i ruining the meaning What do u think.. doo u think u should read or remember a dua in English soo u know what ur sayting?

yea...u should knw it in arabic..itz really not that hard to memorize...i read it everyday when i drive to school...i feel better abt the day to come...and yes..the meaning is important as well

you hvae to say duas in arabic...just like you have to pray in arabic

but you should know the english translation too....so you kmnow what youre reading

Well, just make sure to read the translation of every surah so you know what you're reading. You don't have to necessarily memorize it in English, but you should have a good grasp on what you're reading. I mean, what is the point of reading something if you don't know the meaning of it?

pnp, duas do not HAVE to eb read in arabic .. it is merely preferred. one can ask Allah SWT for forgiveness and so forth in english; the intention is what matters. But salat must be done in arabic.

you should memorize it in arabic but at the same time you should know what it means. when you recite quranic ayaat in arabic, with correct pronunciation, it does wonders of many sorts.

Yeah thats what i thought.. thats why i think it shouldnt matter if u say duas in English.... I mean after prayer doo u guys ask allah and thank allah in arabic? i think it should be in The language u are more comfortable with.

when you say the duas out of the qurran they have to be in arabic

but when youre asking Allah for something you can speak in any language..

ie Allah get me into .....can be in englihs or urdu or spanish

but ie durood sharif needs to be in arabic

uhh, know how to read it in Arabic, learn the main suras and all but read it in english, that's my opinion. pointless to read something in a language you don't understand

i can't read it in arabic... i tried reading it in English but its hard to pronounce em... i jus gav up.
