Default Knee problems

Ok I had some strange knee problems. Last weekend I did a lot of biking after a long long time, almost all day. And then on Tuesday I tried to jog. Just still jog and I got this wierd pain in both my knees. I guessed it might be related to the biking, maybe a strained couple of ligaments or tendons. Oh and Tuesday when I had pain jogging I tried doing 100 squats in a row as a test...no pain at all! No ache there. So...I stopped and then Thursday tried jogging again but same deal. After just 10 steps I would get this wierd kinda dull pain in both my knees.

So I did a lot of stretching again....to see if that would loosen things up and tried jogging again but still got that sorta dull pain. It almost felt like my knees were just locking up or cramping or something. I was really puzzled but decided fuck it....and took the risk of jogging and also counted my steps just as an experiment. I jogged 500 paces and then stopped. It didnt get any more or less painfull...actually slightly less. I was puzzled. I did 500 more paces and stopped for the day. Right after stopping the jogging there was absolutely no pain at all. I could walk just fine without an ache both before and after jogging.

Then Friday I tried jogging again and I had a slight ache in the same spot...did 1000 paces and stopped just in case. The ache was much much better but I was still chicken to do more than 1000 paces. Today Im gunna try it again.

Ok now what the fuck could possibly be going on? The pain is just below my kneecaps. I dunno if its in the cartilage or ligament or tendon...Im clueless. Anyone have any fuckin clue what might be going on? Its getting better obviosuly but I never got this before, just wondering wtf?

I had to sit out of a lot of basketball games in highschool because of a thing called Osgoodshalter's syndrome. Its a pain right under the knee cap. Whenever i would run it felt like my shin was ripping off my knee. I did a lot of physio....all u can do is rest and ice. Ice it 10min on 20min off. And take a lot of time off.

I made it my goal not to get these pains ever again especially during university basketball season. Stretch a lot! Even if u think u are enough, stretch some more.

Once u do get better, start doing squats. Nothing better than increasing overall power in ur body and especially in ur legs. Trust me just take time off from these activites and keep icing it. The get into the gym start squating and in due time ur legs will become stronger and the pain won't come back again!

Ok when you had this problem, could you have done 100 squats in a row without even a hint of an ache? Read my post more carefully.

Ok the thing is....even when I had this pain I was able to do 100 squats non stop very quickly with no pain. And just before the biking....I was able to do jogging with zero pain....Im tinking possibly its nerve related? Or...cramp related somehow?

Ok

No it wont help. How the fuck is checking it gunna tell anyone anything. If its a soft tissue injury it wont show up in Xrays most likely so whats the point of getting my cells zapped with radiation just to have a doc tell me he is clueless?

Plus its stopped hurting now. I can do 1000 steps in a row with no major pain. It seems to be repairing itself or just getting more manageable I dunno.

Cycling and squatting use different forms of movement. You can't expect to hop on a bike and cycle all day. You have to prime yourself. And because squats don't focus on strengthening the knees, it would be expected that you would have problems in that area. Look for exercises specifically catering to the knee area and get yourself primed before you go out again. And when I mean prime, I mean work on it for a couple weeks. In fact, add it to perhaps your leg routine.

No man cuz my knees healed in 3 days and they BOTH went out the exact same way with the exact same intensity of pain...to coincidental. It has to be nerve related or some kinda deficiency? Arent there some kinda B vitamin deficiencies that fuck nerves up. It has to do with nerves or something..problem was too symmetric.

Im not saying Im sensitive to B vitamins. I think I am a bit to vitamin A. But I just remember reading in some book that theres this nerve disorder or disease called polyneuritis that can show up if you are deficient in some B vitamin. Im really scraping my memory here but when i said vitamins I didnt specifically mean vitamins. It could be that I was running low on some mineral like calcium, magnesium or a vitamin of some kind and that was fucking up my nervous system.

Was just throwing that out as a possibility cuz BOTH my knees went out the exact same way and same intensity.

But thinking back I dunno...it could be anything. Maybe some joint or cartilage problem that fixed itself? Maybe...sore tendons that fixed themselves. Maybe...pinched nerves that uninflamed themselves. I dunno...all I know is they got better just by themselves.

Knee problems are common & even runs in family!

There is a person called “a doctor” whom you may wanna see, asking for online help can lead to some serious disappointment/injure.

My grandfather and my father started noticing the pain in their 40‘s, when we went to see the doctor; he said that I'll even have them when I'm older.

A lot of good that doctor did you. Im psyched now.

Anyway, I am not asking for online help, just opinions and stories. I helped myself and I am 100% fixed up now. Turned out that gentle stretching and excercise fixed it perfectly. It coulda just been tension who knows but Im glad I didnt see a doctor.
