Yeah, thats nice...although i like "The World Islands" better. They wont make alot of money on it though since they will never get back the money they've invested...its more to improve the image of Dubai and to create a landmark such as the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Statue of Liberty..etc

that would suck.. but is it possible for that to happen? the mini peninsula of Qatar blocks a lateral wave from the arabian sea. the only way a tidal wave could take it out is if an earthquake or something was positioned directly north of dubai somewhere in southern iran.. maybe.

while Individual Villa's on Island cost from $6.7 million - $36 million..

Kenya can't boast the world's ONLY 7 Star Hotel my friend. The other 2 Palm Islands to come are even bigger & better, trust me you have to see them for real to appreciate the magnitude of the project. I take my hat off to the Late Shk. Zayed for his efforts, he's really done soo omuch for the UAE. Oh & the 2nd Palm Island has a poem which he wrote all around the island in Arabic which IS Visible from space. and please for the Love of God please put up some recent pics, all this stuff is old

what?? sheikh zayed did not have anything to do with this. it's in dubai not abu dhabi. If any of the sheikhs had to do something with it, it'd be sheikh makhtoum.

No I cant. Cuz in order for me to imagine a tidle wave appearing in the gulf I would have to imagine in taking a hop over oman and UAE and then plop in the gulf and then do a 180 turn and make its way to the palm.

an earth quake at the southern tip of Iran will suffice actually. earthquakes have taken place in Iran before. However, the probability of a wave hitting UAE as a result of an earthquake in Iran is very small.

trust me. you would only want to own a property for the purpose of showing off. I wouldnt want to live there. It's so damn hot and humid. Disgusting weather all year round. The weather is terrible and the water is too salty. You wouldnt want to live there.

ooh yea i agree to u 100%. i live near the shore in Qatar and i literally hate it....its humid ...and real hot. i wud so not stay near the shore in palm island or watever.....for a day or 2 its fine...aslong as its a hotel. never wanna buy a house near there.

yep. i know how you feel. i lived 5 mins off the coast throughout my entire stay in UAE (around 18 years). I know how it would be (weather wise) to live on one of those islands. Insanely hot and uncomfortable.

However, it does look beautiful. I laughed about their article promising sunshine all year around. As if there is any other choice. People there pray for rain.
