Me, Myself and My car *56k make some tea*

Time to whore my car ... what ?! yeh I know but Im bored !!!

VW Bora (Jetta for you guys in US/CA) V5 2.3 litre. Havent done much to it at the moment however am getting a kit onto it v soon (bought, just need time to send it to the body shop). Have got an alpine 9835 head unit as a JL sub/amp in the boot giving out approx 1000watts.

And heres a pic of me as promised in the thread title

wats with the random pieces of wood stuck to the sub box? you dont actually need that, the sub box is heavy enough, i know from experience.

Supports for the box. It isnt secured down with bolts etc so Ive done a temp job of keeping it in place like that. Yeh not very attractive but hell, summer-job to sort all that out.

ok well how about some of you guys put some professional pics up ... I may be able to get a hint as to what photgraphy is all about. Of cars btw, not of trees etc

yup, itll all be done after mid may, which is when my summer holidays start.

hehe, well said. Yup, couldnt locate a box with material thick enough here in the UK ... and the original W7 box was way too expensive. Took a weekend out a few months ago and made me the box. Its vented so theres like an L shape if you look at the box from the top without the top piece. A total of 58 screws and lots of no-nails glue used to stengthen the box

i hope it's sealed well.. those fucking subs are picky as shit.. but once set right..

i will try and take pics of my boy's set up on two W7s in his C32... i mean that thing is fucking beast.. added 70lbs of additional weight to the car but it's either shittier audio an a .1 sec off the quarter or sacrifice .1 sec and blow peoples doors off.. he picked the later.

lol yeh it does add quite a bit of weight to the car. The battery is already suffering with the one sub, I dont think I could fit 2 W7's !!! Have to split charge it etc etc - ANOTHER summer job

just put a cap on it.. my friend does car shows so he did all custom.. he has a dedicated battery for his audio system.

oh right, what kind of cap would you recommend ? I dont do many miles in the day so the battery doesnt get a good chance to recharge.

what car. and no you don't need to. though it's recommended for cleaner sound but no you don't have to swap it out.
