My vehicular encounter with an agent of the law

So I'm leaving class today driving back to work. I'm a little low on gas, so I'm cruising at about 70mph instead of the usual pace. I'm just minding my own business when this guy in a new lexus ls430 comes barging into my lane leaving me with less than 1 car length between his rear bumper and mine. Now I wouldn't have minded so much except he was talking on what I thought to be a cellphone, and there was NO REASON for him to come into my lane. He just wasn't paying attention. I hate pricks that don't watch where they're going. So I just maintained the following distance that he left me so that hopefully he'd look in his rearview and realize "oh shit, my bad, I just cut someone off." Well, he did look in his rearview, but instead of realizing his own asshattery, he mistakenly assumed that I was tailgating him. So he tries to brake check me. No way his land barge was going to outbrake my car, so I wasn't even worried. The 3rd time he tried, I downshifted and blew past him. I put about 30 carlengths in between us and started cruising again.

I figured i'd left his sorry ass behind, but oh no, here he comes, barrelling up behind me. My exit was coming up so I get over towards the right. He does the same. So now he's directly to my left, just slightly ahead. Guess what this asshole tries to do, yep, he tries to wedge himself into the 1/2 car space between me and the car in front of me. No signal, nothing. I move to the right to give him a little room in case he was making a mistake, but he started mean mugging me and coming over. I was like, FUCK THIS. I downshift into third, pull even with his ass and start coming back at him (i'm still in the lane). He looks at me as i'm laying on the horn and inching closer to his car. I could have reached my hand out my window and slapped the motherfucker I was so close to his car. He backed out, hit the brakes and got behind me (where there was plenty of room to start with). I give him the finger and start cruising again. The guy was LIVID. He was beyond pissed that he couldn't intimidate me with his land barge. My car is small & cheap to fix. I woulda hit his ass and kept going, there's no way he would have been able to keep up with me. His car on the other hand, hell, one door on his car probably costs more than my car. He wanted to play, he bitched out obviously b/c there was more at stake for him.

Anyhow, he's yelling and screaming at me through his window. I look over and I'm smiling b/c I just owned his ass. At this point he takes some kind of badge and SLAMS it against his window so hard that I can hear it over my exhaust (which is well over 90dB in volume).

The asshole was some kinda cop. Either a corrupt one taking bribes from dealers, or a detective or someshit. What I thought was a cellphone was actually his little radio thing.

Fuck his ass, cops shouldn't be cutting off people like that, not to mention escalating the situation further by trying to brake check someone.

my brother did that to some lady once and she almost crashed her car into the meridian. not such a good idea because she almost killed herself because she lost control.

you got lucky he didn't pull you over, in southflorida we have undercover saleen mustangs,...hummer h2's, and minivans and all they do is tail gate us and when we try to get away from them they light us up for speeding

nope. he had nothing on me. sure, he could say that he saw me speeding at 100+mph, but he wasn't in a patrol car. It's probably a good thing I wasn't in his county though - he would have radioed some of his hooligans to come give me a hard time. In GA, the only people that are allowed to pull you over are marked police cars. so basically, if he tried to pull me over, I have every right not to until a marked police car shows up.

It's for your own safety, who knows if it's some crazy dude who just decided to put some flashing lights & a siren on his car. NEVER pull over for an unmarked car. ever.

its a different world in florida,... you have to pull over get out bend over and take it like a man. it gets worse in orlando.

In IL they have unmarked cars. If they sound the siren you must pull over. It would be stupid not too. Best thing to do is not let anyone follow you. I was on my way to wisconsin when this jackass cop was behind me. It was at night on the highway and there are no street lights. I smart enough to recognize the headlights of a cop car. So he was tailgating me. I thought it was just a regular car for a while and I wanted to speed up so he could get around me. I don't like to be in the way of people who are in a hurry. So I thought fuck it, I'm not speeding up I'll just move over the the right lane and get behind the fucker. Sure enough it's a jackass cop trying to make me speed. I hate those fuckers.

yeah, due to past encounters with the law, I have a keen eye for any legit police cars.
