Default green tea helps lose weight???

ok so i work at starbucks right and thiso ne guy comes in for green tea like atleast 3 tiems a day and he claims ot have lost 20 pounds in 6 months by drinking green tea without making a change in his diet...im a bit skeptical but w/e im gonna try it..

Green tea has chemicals in it to raise your metabolism so you'll burn more calories while sitting around. All the fat burners on the market contain green tea extract.

Drink 3 cups a day at least.

I drink it all the time, and workout and have a good diet, so I dont know how much it helps but it does help some.

well I don't know about you, but the one that WE SELL (we have a shop here in Canada) the green tea thats made specifically to loose weight, does. There are different green tea's available. We have 6 different kinds, but the ones that specifically say loose weight, for weight reduction DO cause the runs.

Actually it does help! I tried it once for a month, you may not like the taste though. Just get the ones from the oriental store, and DON'T add any sugar or anything to it. that won't do you any good.

thats probably just a marketing gimmick. I just use the normal green tea from the local store.

No need to get special tea to do the job since all green tea will reaise your metabolism. Are you seeling green tea extract pills, thermogenic fat burners like stacker 2, hydroxycut etc? or just normal tea bags?

if its other stuff besides the bags then maybe they have added crap that causes the runs because I have never experienced it with drinking it in liquid form.

green tea itself is really good for u..may help u lose weight..

but there actually is a certain type of green tea tha makes u go to the bathroom alot and actually does make u lose quite abit of weight!

keep us posted, I want to know if it helps because this might just be one specific case. Green Tea is classified as an antioxidant, not appetite suppressant. What you might need to do is find foods with half the calories
of what you are eating now so you don't have to deprive your stomach or drink damn tea all the time. That is actually the best way to lose weight.
Also, cut out trans-fat so use olive oil to cook with instead of vegetable
and cut out white rice,white flour based foods, try brown basmasti rice,
and more importantly get your thyroid checked out. But the tea doesn't have any side-effects so don't worry about drinking too much.

its not a miracle thing. Its just a fatloss aide. Slightly raises your metabolism so you burn more calories. look it up on google or something.

Just drinking it for relaxation, and antioxidant benefits is good enough. tastes good. I like it strong with 4 bags at once.

They must be ready to drink from the bottle type green teas, its more than likely that they contain alot of Sorbitol which casues you to get the runs if there is too much in your system

Caffeine is a good stimulant, it also makes the body use up the fat instead of the carbs. Use a certain amount before cardio.

Grean tea does have certain ingredients which make them useful in losing weight. *WEIGHT* is not the same as fat. Weight = Muscle + Fat.

You should still exercise (if you don't already) since the whole purpose of exercising is to make your body stronger from the inside, not just the outside.

Each person is different. Your body will either be efficient at losing weight or not so efficient. I'd say that if you're exercising and eating properly, then you should aim to lose 1lb of fat per week. I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but in just 12 weeks, that's 12 lbs. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day.
