Rak Maram, a 36-year-old Thai mahout, or elephant trainer, demonstrates her close relationship with a two-year-old female elephant named Benjama by placing her head in the animal's mouth and kissing its tongue, at an elephant training camp 80 km (50 miles) north of Bangkok, November 25, 2002. Rak has worked with Benjama since the elephant was born.
