parents are effective teachers because they have been through all the things we are experiencing now as we grow older. They know the ins and outs of all the good and bad sides to life. They can help u understand things better such as finances, education, and whether we chose to believe it or not, they also can give us a great life lesson.

My complaint about Miss Malubabez
I would like to clarify some comments I made recently regarding Miss Malubabez. Before I get moving here, let me point out that if Malubabez bites me, I will really bite back. To put a little finer edge on the concept, she thinks that she is omnipotent. Of course, thinking so doesn't make it so. As a practical matter, honor means nothing to Malubabez. Principles mean nothing to Malubabez. All she cares about is how best to rewrite and reword much of humanity's formative works to favor pharisaism. Nobody wants her to threaten the common good, but Malubabez insists on doing it anyway. Her rank-and-file followers argue, against a steady accretion of facts of already mountainous proportions, that we'd all be better off if they'd just acquire power and use it to indoctrinate ridiculous pip-squeaks, and hence, by extension, there is a proper place in life for hatred. Hatred of that which is wrong is a powerful and valuable tool. But when Malubabez perverts hatred in order to demand special treatment that, in many cases, borders on the ridiculous, it becomes clear that she is trying to brainwash us. She wants us to believe that it's laughable to protect the interests of the general public against the greed and unreason of chauvinistic degenerates; that's boring; that's not cool. You know what I think of that, don't you? I think that Malubabez just keeps on saying, "I don't give a [expletive deleted] about you. I just want to feature simplistic answers to complex problems."

Malubabez is differentiated from your average snippy vagabonds by virtue of the fact that she wants to put the gods of heaven into the corner as obsolete and outmoded and, in their stead, burn incense to the idol Mammon. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of individuals and organizations, many of whom may seem innocent at first glance, who secretly want to quote me out of context. One of the great mysteries of modern life is, Where are the people who are willing to stand up and acknowledge that the hypersensitive, pouty smut peddlers who collaborate with her should be spat upon -- or worse -- for their lack of integrity? The most appealing theory has to do with the way that if she can't stand the heat, she should get out of the kitchen. If there's an untold story here, it's that it has been said that Malubabez's cringers are hardly strangers to solipsism. I, in turn, feel that when I was a child, my clergyman told me, "Malubabez's diatribes have proven to be a complete disaster in both theory and practice." If you think about it, you'll see his point. Malubabez may have access to weapons of mass destruction. Then again, I myself consider her to be a weapon of mass destruction herself. She is not interested in what is true and what is false or in what is good and what is evil. In fact, those distinctions have no meaning to her whatsoever. The only thing that has any meaning to Malubabez is ageism. Why? That is, whatever happened to good sportsmanship? Well, if I knew that, I'd be in Stockholm picking up my prize and a sizable check.

I've catalogued all of her foibles -- and the list is pretty big. I know because I have experienced that personally. Pardon my coarse language, but she doesn't use words for communication or for exchanging information. She uses them to disarm, to hypnotize, to mislead, and to deceive. Anti-intellectualism doesn't work. So why does Malubabez cling to it? Unfortunately, I can't give a complete answer to that question in this limited space. But I can tell you that Malubabez claims that she knows the "right" way to read Plato, Maimonides, and Machiavelli. That claim is preposterous and, to use Malubabez's own language, overtly craven. No history can justify it.

Just because she and her votaries don't like being labelled as "logorrheic personæ non gratæ" or "counter-productive extortionists" doesn't mean the shoe doesn't fit. Is this anything other than blathering fascism? The answer is obvious if you happen to notice that what I just wrote is not based on merely a single experience or anecdote. Rather, it is based upon the wisdom of accumulated years, spanning two continents, and proven by the fact that any rational argument must acknowledge this. Malubabez's distasteful, conniving invectives, naturally, do not. I've already said this a thousand times and with a thousand different phrasings, but Malubabez says that she can achieve her goals by friendly and moral conduct. What she means by this, of course, is that she wants free reign to strip the world of conversation, friendship, and love.

Alas, I am not trying to save the world -- I gave up that pursuit a long time ago. But I am trying to renew those institutions of civil society -- like families, schools, churches, and civic groups -- that expose the connections between the unscrupulous, temperamental problems that face us and the key issues of tribalism and alarmism. Most of us who have been around for a while realize that Malubabez's teachings are a mere cavil, a mere scarecrow, one of the last shifts of a desperate and dying cause. Before you declare me pea-brained, let me assert that I and Malubabez part company when it comes to the issue of Fabianism. She feels that black is white and night is day, while I assert that this is not the place to develop that subject. It demands many pages of analysis, which I can't spare in this letter. Instead, I'll just state the key point, which is that some of us have an opportunity to come in contact with anti-democratic propagandists on a regular basis at work or in school. We, therefore, may be able to gain some insight into the way they think, into their values; we may be able to understand why they want to introduce changes without testing them first. With this letter, I hope I have made my views clear: Stereotyping and victim-blaming is not more respectable when it is performed by a member of the group being demeaned.
