Default We get mad when girls are thought of house wives and men as bread winners for home...

Hear me out, in today's society.. women want the respect of being as equals with men in the sense that.. they do not like it when they think of women to be the ones to do all the chores.

The typical mindset of people : women should stay at home and cook and clean, and men should get a job and bring home the money..

.. yet today we get upset at this and demand that it is OK for men to be the ones to stay home as well and women should also be equals with men and receive a solid income and its also fine for men to be the ones to cook and clean.. correct?

but how is thr typical original mindset supposed to change.. look at the roots of where it starts

origin: my baby girl cousin is currently playing with a cooking set and a doll as the baby guy cousins are playing 'die alien die' .. if you want 'equality' to adapt normally.. shouldnt u stop having sexist toys and cooking sets just for women? I mean.. if u complain about women wanting to stay home and cook then give ur girl baby a toy gun instead! and men something else.. make it 'equal' from the beginning, and in the end.. it'll be socially acceptible and it will be the NORM to have women go out and men stay home or vice versa or a little bit of both

It isnt like that everywhere ... tho it is most places, I guess

My baby cousin, boy (3), loves cooking sets ... he wants to be a chef when he grows up. He's always in the kitchen "helping" his mom cook and bake. He loves it, it's who he is.

I grew up liking robots and video games.
I think what we play with when we're little it just what attracts us, no ulterior movities, just colours and shapes.

I get what you're saying, about equality should start at the beginning. Girls and boys should be treated equal from the start, so they grow up thinking we're different but equal.

if girls and boys dont receive different learning wont we lose the concept of gender? is it sexist for only girls to wear skirts? how would u like ur 2 year old boy to walk around wearing a pink barbie skirt. i know what u mean about the sexism inherent in growing up but i think its necessary to give kids strong gender identities. This learning is only wrong when it stereotypes women or men, eg girls dont need as much education as the boys or something stupid, but for the most part, gender differentiation is good isnt it??

so in my sociology class we saw a video about that same idea of starting children off with non sexist toys and what not and when they raised kids with just regular baby toys and when they got older let them chose between barbies, dolls, girly toys and action figures, guns and trucks the kids did blend and play with toys of the other sex for a short time but when they realized toys aimed at their own sex was there, they naturally ended up playing with just that stuff...

so something is born into us...
