What's your preference, hair up or hair down? (visuals included)

I don't really put my hair up a lot when I go out, but last Saturday night I had to go to a bday night, and I didn't feel like dressing up much, so I put my hair up on a side ponytail and stuck a little flower there to make it a little dressy.

People like it, but I personally thought I didn't look great. So what's better for me hair up or hair down? And what is your personal preference?

I just think when I put my hair up it just shows off my chubby face more.

I dont really like doing my hair either but it's nice for a change once in a while.
And that looks fine.
And if you pull some hair down on both sides like you have a longer bunch hanging out on the right then your face looks less chubby.

BUt if you take a comb and start back combing the top but so it give your hair some volume when you tie it up so it doesnt fall flat. Spray the back and tie it to the side, let a few strangs fall out. Neat ponytails looks weird anyway.

I did make it big on the top and gave it volume, you probably can't notice it.

Plus at the end of the night, everything was flat. My hairspray didn't last as long as I wanted it to.
