Default differentiate between Gambling And Games

what are your views?

both can be similar what is the difference.

Quote:
Gambling:
The term gambling has had many different meanings depending on the cultural and historical context in which it is used. Currently, in Western societies, it has an economic definition, referring to "wagering money or something of material value on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning additional money and/or material goods". Typically the outcome of the wager is evident within a short period of time.
-wikipedia
Game:
Quote:
A game is a structured or semi-structured activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes also used as an educational tool. (The term "game" is also used to describe simulation of various activities e.g., for the purposes of training, analysis or prediction, etc., see "Game (simulation)".) Games are generally distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration, and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas. However, the distinction is not clear-cut, and many games may also be considered work and/or art. Key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and interactivity. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both. Many games help develop practical skills, serve as a form of exercise, or otherwise perform an educational, simulational or psychological role.

Game is played/watched to be entertained and get your stress off your shoulder whereas, gambling is played to earn money and to gain more stress.

mannnn please dont quote wikipedia for definitions...it can and cannot be accurate/reliable but i suppose its okay for forming a foundation upon which to build ur knowledge.

im not too sure with this topic though. there's a fine line between gambling and games. there are many forms of games i.e. video games, pc games, sports, carnival games etc. i associate gambling as an act that associates money behind the moment and participation of games. if that makes sense...
