Richard Gere forcefully attempts to kiss Shilpa in public

Who cares but apparently this is making big news in I to the ndia.
Richard Gere publicly humiliated himself and Shilpa Shetty in an Aids awareness function in India by trying to forcefully kiss Shilpa Shetty.

The ceremony was not a glamarous one nor was it a high profile one. It was an aids awareness function where common people including truck drivers were present.

FIRST GEAR:
Richard was in his flirtous mood and when Shilpa Shetty ( Bollywood actress and of Big Brother fame ) was introducing him to the crowd, Gere started off with kissing Shilpa’s hand.

SECOND GEAR:
As Shilpa continued talking to the crowd, Richard Gere tried holding Shilpa and trying to get her in his arms. Shilpa did not play with him and Richard held her hard and tried to land a kiss on her lips. Shipla avoided it as much she could but had not much control as Gere was completely in control of Shilpa.

THIRD GEAR:
Gere continued on and the surprised Shilpa tried her best to avoid the kiss, Gere landed his kiss on somewhere near her ears. While the crowd stood spellbound by this act of Gere, Shilpa somehow escaped from his hold. While putting on a plastic smile all through, Shilpa announced “This was a bit too much ” !!

Gear then bowed down and expected Shilpa’s hand but Shilpa avoided it. She smiled all through but I am sure this was not something she would have expected and appreciated. This was a low profile gathering among common people and for spreading awareness of Aids. But if you had seen Richard Gere’s expressions right from the beginning, it looked like he was more interested in holding, touching and kissing Shipla than spreading awareness.

Well when asked, one common Indian said: “Gere was trying to prove that kissing doesnot spread Aids” !!

Well Shilpa maybe was not aware of that.. and this must be why she was avoiding a kiss on her lips.

In Mumbai. Members of the right-wing Hindu nationalist group Shiv Sena set fire to "money shots" of Shetty and beat burning effigies of Geres stick.

Similar protests broke out in other cities, including Varanasi, Hinduism's holiest city, and in the northern town of Meerut, where crowds chanted "Down with Shilpa Shetty."

In a country where sex and public displays of affection are largely taboo, photographs of Gere doing the "do" with Shetty and pornographically kissing her on the cheek were printed on newspapers' front pages thus whipping the public in to an effigy burning frenzy.

A reporter for TheSpoof.com, on the scene, asked one protester what he was protesting about, he replied "what have you got? We just like burning effigies, it is what we do. Now leave me alone or I'll get my papier mache out and rustle up an effigy of you!" our reporter made his excuses and left the scene.

Gere and Shetty appeared at a press conference on Sunday in New Delhi to highlight the HIV and Aids epidemic among India's truck drivers, who aren't so bothered about public displays of affection.

In front of a cheering crowd, who were obviously effigy-less at the time, Gere kissed Shetty on the hand, and then kissed her on both cheeks before busting some wholly unpalatable moves on her Bollywood ass.

A press release from Richard Geres people said that the whole thing had been partly a publicity stunt as Gere is rolling out his own brand of safe sex products which will include condoms called Dick Geres' dick gear.
