I write for not only a friend, but more so a brother I lost on March 31, 2006:



I talk to you as though, you live within me,
Not changed but simply moved in from outside.
I think of you each day, I cant ever forgive the,
Past, but here, as always, you must be my guide.
You always were, are and will be, just as ever,
In many minds, hearts, n souls... not only mine.
No physical tragic event can such love sever;
Death is just another dimension, not a simple line.
Goodbye is forever and I cant miss you for that long
That is why I wont use this term, not now, not ever
So this seperation does not mean that you are forever gone:
For as long as we live, through 'KD' and 'Double B' you will live on!

One year ago you died, and still all your nigggas mourn,
Nothing is left but sorrow within us, fate is the one to scorn
Even as time unveils and we turn our eyes to the light
Years hence, still never will this tragedy be easily borne.
Each goal, oppurtunity, and dream all came to a sudden halt
And now I'm reopening old wounds, pass me the fuckin salt
Raheed, the pain I feel is immensely more than I think I can bare
-but until I lose my composure, fall to the ground, or let myself fail

i can so relate to this... my roommate Bhatti died in a car wreck last feb... same story, gas tank exploded, burnt alive. May Raheed, Bhatti and the othrs rest in peace...
