Default RIP Karim

About a year and half ago, I lost my best friend in the whole world. He died in a car accident and I'm missing him a lot for some reason...right now. Anyway, I had written this a while back and while I'm not a poet, I'm sure several of you can relate to this poem. Hope you can take it seriously and appreciate it. If not, be kind enough not to disrespect those who are not with us today.

A Temporary Goodbye.

You're gone, you're dead. Good Bye.
You left me all alone in this scary place,
And now you rest and smile, below 6 feet, in your case.
I tell myself to forget you, really I do try.
You broke so many promises, why did you lie?
The thought of you makes my heart race.
A car crash, a disaster that left no trace.
You sleep, you smile, I cry and...I cry.

I read teh engraving "a great friend",
And there goes another tear.
Friends never leave, they stay true.
You made a new fashion, set a new trend,
To raise hopes, makes promises, and then disappear.
So a temporary goodbye right now should do.
Until the next time, when I get to see you.

i lost someone as well...in a wreck...a 25 yr old. best friend/ bhabi....who left behind a two year old daughter...and a 5 years old marriage...in which she had only gotten to be with her husband for about 3 years...since she got to come over here after two years of her marriage. And, as hard as it was...i cant seem to forget that day. You never realize that young people can die...until someone passes away. We had become so ignorant to the fact that young people do die...not just old people. And, i guess that was a way for God to show us the right path. Ever since then everyone in our towns gotten really interested into our religion. Sometimes, i think of it as a sign or act of a way to better the community. Whatever it was...i just wish it never happened!
