Salahuddin was born in 1137. The Fatimids (Shias) had taken over Egypt, and started their own Khilafat. So Nurudeen Zangi sent Salaudeen to Egpty to control of Egypt and and bring it back under the Abbasaid Khilafat. Fatamids were siding with the Crusaders against the Muslims. So he exiled most of the Fatimidis. Then he captured Jerusalem in 1187 and he gave free pardon to the Christians living in the city. When he died all he left was his horse one dinar and 36 dirhams.

One of the best leaders ever. One of the most humane and chivalrous leaders in the history of mankind. He had the means to take revenge on the Chrisitans but he forgave them all, considering what the crusaders had done to Muslims when they took over Jerusalem.

The 1 that they protray in the film ' Kingdom of heaven ' , that was the man himself .

He showed mercy and never went looking for trouble ' but trouble came to him .

This man was firm ' a family man and lived up to the word of respect . He led many battles against the crusaders ' wheras his opposition mocked him and showed no mercy he never replied fire with fire ' he threw water in the fire to wipe out all evil .

He fought with courage and belief in God ' thus he was victorious and many still envy him as a great legend .

I believe he was blessed by God ' .

yeh especially the fact they found barely ne money in his tomb, cuz he probably gave it all away.
