How is this airline? I'm traveling in three weeks and notice that it was about $150 cheaper than Air France flying out of Newark. I've only heard comedians with mad jokes speak on it, wanted an honest opinion. LOL

Oh wait, let me find out people are critiquing posts!!!! LMFAO!
ANYWAY- I'm going to Paris, not India. But seeing as how several of you have probably flown it, I knew this was the place to ask. Thanks for the feedback! It's a little under an 8 hour flight and I may sleep most of it - just curious to hear peoples' experiences before I book. |

air india is known for delays...however it has a modern fleet as they run Boeing 747-400's and Boeing 777-200's on there north american routes, the food is quite good, and the baggage limit is higher i believe

as a pilot myself i'll give u a brief run down on Air India
the planes are awesome, unless u get the old shitty 747 and then all u get is a radio! the food is ok if its made in the states or in england, which it will be if ur flying out of either country the air stewardess are all over 50 -60 and don't smile. the inside has wallpaper and rug carpet a true first for any airline. the plane smells of high hell and coz its full of desi's u can rest assured that the toilet will be blocked, flooded and overflowing down the aisle seats by the time you take off. my advice is either save ur money and go on air india and sleep the entire journey even though you'll stop in London. or spend a little extra on Air france and stop in paris and get some humane level of service from an airline.

So then it's settled! Air France it is! I'm going there by myself for my birthday and admit that I was thinking maybe I could meet a little vacation jump-off on the flight, but he'll probably be on Air France too. HA HA HA HA
And the extra $150 is worth a pleasant experience of coming and going! It's $342 on Air India, $510 on Air France. Fugg it. |

I was going to india and they bumped me to first class, gave me champagne and I got to chose my dinner, everything was good up there, the seats reclined nicely, they gave you hot towels, it was awesome. But when I was in economy class, it sucked balls, I hated it.
