Would you let a stranger take your pic?....Would you take candid pics of people?

I was in the mall this Saturday and this guy was just taking pics of people walking up and down. What amazed me is that many people especially girls did not seem to mind. Some even stopped and smiled at him. Would you do something like that? Has anyone taken candids of strangers like that?....if so..please post.

and if someone takes a pic of you in a public space why would you mind
ur in public, any one can see u any wys so shouldnt matter
if someone takes a pic of u in a private space id be pissed

To take pictures in a mall you need a license from the owners (its also seen as suspect terrorist action in some countries, ie plotting to blow the mall up). Its the same as taking pictures on a beach (even though thats pretty much illegal now, due to pedo/perverts). For example is somone is taking pictures/video at a nightclub, they would need permission from the organiser (unless your taking pictures of yourself). Just a question.

Would you let people take pictures or video of you in a nightclub? for use on a website (if you knew the website). Say a ratedesi photo album?

I think people should be careful about having their picture taken. Especailly now thats its so easy to doctor pictures. Next thing "your picture" ends up on some porno site showing "you" in some very embarrasing situations. I think some celebrities had to sue some people for that kind of stuff.

i have but it's more or less for research purposes or taking reference photographs for art. it gets tricky if you're trying to photograph children, usually i ask for permission then to avoid legal ramifications. i haven't really had issues yet.
