The truth about halal meat

if anyone is strict enough to eat only halal food this may bother them
i personally dont really care, but many restraunts and indian fast food places keep their halal food mixed with pork and soaked in blood from the pork. Ive been inside the freezers of several bay area restraunts and the meat is all usually stored in a single bin. often times the pork and halal beef are kept in small ziplock bags together. i know many of you are not that strict but its just an fyi. i havent worked for any restraunt in NYC but imagine it is very similar

Well when we go to a restaurant and we are told the meat is halal, our hearts in the good place and we will not be punished for it, if we do not suspect.

If we do suspect and still eat it then we are at fault. But there is so much corrupt everywhere it is hard to tell. Just make sure your heart is in the right place and you will be fine.

thats a good way too look at it. i dont know why they keep it like that. i think its because it would be to expensive to store it seperate

Well now they going to wish they had done that with all the business they going to lose.

Plus they can also be sued.

from what i understand it is illegal to sell halal food in america if it is not halal
but according to the U.S law bieng legally halal only concerns preperation. the food is prepared correctly, im sure almost 99% of halal meat is properly prepared
but the contamination isnt covered in the law and a lot of muslims over look it because they figure it isnt significant, but it really is kinda. i mean theirs a lot of contamination its not like its just cooked in the same pot

they dont serve the pork. but they do store it and resell it. i havent worked at any specific halal stores. never mind scratch that i cant say with certanty. but i do know they resell pork

it doesnt matter if its halal...if they tell us its halal and we eat it then it doesnt matter because we were told that its halal...but neways, thats pretty disgusting

em first off most of the halal restaurants dont serve pork!
and for the thai restaurants i go too...they do serve pork but im sure that they dont keep everyting in the same bin!

i know it sound really gross. by soaked in pork blood, i just meant the blood from the pork goes onto the halal before its dried

You are right, I dont think there is a law on it either but over in the UK it is not overlooked. I refuse to eat halal meat that is cooked in the same oil as other non halal meats if it is being cooked in front of me or I tell them to use a different hob or whatever!

I always insist that poeple use different utensils for halal food as if they dont then it defeats the whole objective of halal meat...

But the contamination thing is hard to avoid if it is a sikh/ hindu owner as they do not know the significance of halal meat so it is not really their fault. It is ours for not being careful.

yea but almost all large indian grocery stores/ restraunts store various meat and vegetables. like i said im not sure about the halal stores, they are probably safe

but think abt it..
ur right if the pork and the halal meat is put in one bin..but when they r taken out they r definitely washed and stuff so i dont think there shud be ne porky blood init!!

and over here in ny..if the grocery is indian they dont sell meat all
and as for paki grocery's they sell only halal meat whch means they dont sell pork!

I have never Eat anything other than That
Now if for some reason The meat isn't Halal
But Iv told it is
Then there's nothing I can do about it

But there is NOWAY on earth I will Knowingly Eat meat that is not HALAL
