How does ITunes work?

My music collection has become REAAAAALLLLYYYY messy, and i wanna organize it into nice folders (Artist - Album) and name all the songs properly in the actual library/playlist.

Does Itunes automatically do this for you? Is there an option on Windows Media Player that allows me to do this too?

I don't think iTunes does this; as in it doesn't physically move the files for you. But if your MP3 files have ID3 tags I think you can organize according to albums.

I don't know, I don't use iTunes. :P

I hate that freakin app! Whatever happend to just copying and pasting your music to the damn player?

go to itunes mac help u get alot of info there lol

it does not. its just when i load the files into itunes, it will arrange them by artist, album, year.. and etc, thats ONLY if u have the Mp3 files already has the ID3 tags. its best if u just take the time out one day to organize them urself, have different folders for each genre, and go from there.

ok this is the second mention of ID3 tags

would it works if i first organized them on windows media player and then used Itunes?

no. download a ID3 tag renamer .. that way no matter which program u open ur mp3 songs in it'll have the artist, song title etc etc the way u want it.. but its a bitch renmaing them all

naw i dont mess with those.. dont have the time to rename my mp3s lol so i jus leave them the way they r... but i guess any program will do
