Trinidad Carnival 2006

does anyone know about it?? Its like a week of pure celebration,, the country basically shuts down just for the partying!!! its started last friday and wont end tiill weds i think....

i used to go there when i lived in trinidad (up til around 7 years old)

if i went back there now, i'd probably be too whitewashed to enjoy it

I'm was pretty whitewashed my self,, just recently got more into my culture

ya but im the complete opposite of how most trinis are

theyre so outgoing and fun loving, but im more of the reserved type

i hardly get along with my cousins, we just have so much different interests and lifestyle

ive tried getting into it, but its just not for me

i've been saying this forever but one day im gonna go there and be in one of those costumes mashin it up my granny says guyana's carnival is fun as well n safer but i dunno i heard trinidad's is a safer place to be

I was the same serious I hated the culture at one point,, but Imy cuz came up here from trinidad to live and and I met some other friends and I realize I was miss out on so much fun

The costumes are awesome.... I cant make it to Trinidad's this year but I will go to the Canada one in august

lol well thank god i wasn't raised with 2 west indian parents my dad was a softy so he spared me now n then from my mom's pot spoons and what not lol but my sister god whatta hoe she'd like hold me down till my mom could get me i would never do that to anyone

lol the good ole days oh and my granny still threatens to beat us kids its crazy

the grandparents are like that i dont listen to them

I’m going trinidad on march 9 for 10 days and my grandfather was like I have a girl for you to marryy !! yeah ok,, they think they can run your life!!lol its so funny
