Why Eid Isnt The Happiest Day For Me

ever....

I mean I wake up exTREMELY early to attend prayer at the mosque....but by the time i actually make it up the stairs into the main hall, ive already been trampled over 20 times, had 15 kids run between my legs, and had 80 old dudes push me out of hte way so they can reach a chair to take their shoes off.

Whatever. Then you get inside the main prayer hall and you got your Volunteer uncles who act like they get paid 100 thousand dollars a year to direct mosque traffic....fuckin nazi's telling you where you can and cant sit. after thats all done, you meet whatever family you have close to you and then take another 45 mins to get out cuz now EVERYONES in a rush to 1.go home and brush their teeth cuz their breath smells like unwashed somalian ASS and 2. eat their greasy, spicy breakfast.

once I get home and have MY spicy greasy breakfast, I get the privledge of going around the entire city and seeing people/families that I could HONESTLY not give HALF a maggets shit about even if I tried my hardest. By the time everythings done and over with, its 10 pm and Im too drained out to do anything. Ontop of that, its wednesday so...what the hell CAN I do

eid mubarak to u too, just be happy that you atleast got a chance to go to the mosque and pray when there are so many people in this world who cannot even step outside their houses without risking their lives.

may be if u cleberated eid back home u'd had have way for fun... the atmospher gets u pumped up, esp when your holding the animal while its being sacrifised and the u find out that theres blood on your new clothes

This 1 day is when you get to spend time with your family. actually hug & greet them. the ppl at the mosque some of them are good muslim volunteers who do work for the love of god u should appreciate. If you think so poorly of them why dont you volunteer & sort it out how u feel it should be sorted out??

For your information I used to do security at the mosque for 3 years

and because i was so young, the elder volunteers felt that it was their "duty" to dictate what WE as volunteers whod spend WAY more time there, would do

I agree what they are doing is good and helpful mashallah, I just have problems with the way they operate
