Ram Gopal Varma's remaking Sholay... but he's not even darin to re-name it or anything... it'll be called 'Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay'

Jai Dev is gonna be played by Mohit Alhawat, de guy from James. And it seems like a stupid choice... but if u've seen James, den u know how de guy's all quiet and non talkative... but when he gets pissed and shit.. damn! which is how Jai was in the original Sholay movie, strong, silent and broodin... 'cept when he made fun of Basanti

Veeru was SUPPOSED to be played by Abhishek Bachchan because Ram Gopal Varma didnt wanna cast him in de obvious role of Jai dat his dad played. And after watchin movies like Bunty Aur Babli and his guest app. in Salaam Namaste, u can see Abhi doing a goofy role like dat... cuz Veeru in de original one was more of a funny, easy going guy. Altho Abhi's supposedly not doing it anymore because of date conflict w/ a Shyam Benegal film he wants to do... so we'll see.

and yes... Gabbar Singh is being played by Amitabh Bachchan. But after watchin something like Bunty Aur Babli where he plays a kinda mean and desparate character... cant u see him as Gabbar

Sunil Shetty's in it too... i think he's supposed to be Sambha... not sure...

Thakur is played by Mohanlal... if anyone members de south indian actor who was in Company, who played de lawyer or sum bs... dat got Vivek to testify in de end of de movie...

And more recently, Urmilla's gonna play Helen's part in the mehbooba mehbooba song which i guess will be in de re-make...

I wud be pissed if anyone re-made Sholay... but since it IS Ram Gopal Varma.. who grew up on Sholay just like us... he wudnt do shit to fuck it up.... i hope

plus... one of de same guys dat wrote Sholay, Salim from Salim-Javed is writin dis one too... so we'll see...
