Do you agree with abortion?

I know people who have found it difficult to have children. My mate was trying to have a kid for years onwards and when she finally did she had a miscarriage on the 2nd month of her pregnancy. Man she was wrecked over it. Thankfully she's pregnant again and in her 5th month, they say there is a chance of someone having a miscarrage again if you have had it in the past.

People who've had miscarriages and end up mentally ill over it. But yet i know few people that have had abortions - and usually they make their mind up straight away.

I know it all depends on the situation you are at. For example if you come from an asian background and you have a child out of marriage the first thought in your head would be to abort the kid. But then again why do asian girls take that risk of having sex before marriage - and not take that extra precaution?

Anyways, basically my point is what would you do if you or your girlfriend was pregnant? Would you tell her to / would you abort it? I mean, religiously thinking, if you made a sin by having sex before marriage why ruin the extra topping by committing another sin, killing the baby.

I know some of you will say it's a feotus not even a baby, but like i said religiously thinking once the baby is there it has a soul.

- at what point does a fetus acaquire a soul?

I should have said 'ultimately' the female's decision. A male should not be able to force a female to give birth; just because he provided sperm X/Y does not entitle him the right to dictate what the female does with her body. Also, many times when abortion is considered the father magically disappears. In the best case scenario the decision is made unianimously by a couple but this is not always the case.

i personally think its wrong to take away the chance for a child to have a life i mean we are tampering with things we shouldnt if God allows that baby to have a life then we have no right to take it away just because of our mistakes. The child has a right to life just like we had from our parents. The only time when abortion can be justified is if during birth the women risk from having the baby and can die from it.

In most cases it seems the guy has no right to the decision. If i was a guy and my other half mde the decision all on her own then I would be annoyed.

Well, he'd have every right to be annoyed because he did impregnate her - but ultimately the decision isn't his. I think it's fair - it's the woman who's delivering the baby, so she should have the final say.

I think if it was a rape case and the person got pregnant it would be a different situation but talking on the level of what if it wa just the normal case of asian girl got pregnant before marriage?

i agree i think if the mothers family are psycos which is rarely the case then she needs to get out.

if the childs a mistake, then the kid living in the world is a mistake.. doesnt need it, doesnt deserve to be humiliated.. or embarassed for the rest of his life cuz one way or another he wil fin dout he's the cause of a rape or unwanted pregnancy.

downs syndrome, cystic fibrosis the intense kind...any sort of hereditary illness that could be detrimental to the childs life then or in the future causing them to either die early or have a shitty life.
