I did some downloads yesterday with pirate bay

they can keep chopping up grass but it will keep growing, as in other torrents will spring up....

The third world may not block piratebay, but what the fuck is the point of piratebay with power cuts every 30 minutes and download rates that barely exceed a few kb/sec.

TPB still works for me, besides who the hell uses a single torrent site anyways when there are torrent search engines such as isohunt and torrentz?

Then again torrents are for novice computer users. Pay a few dollars a month for a newz group provider. Parallel downloading with full speed guaranteed and long file retention oh not to mention SSL encryption.

And if TPB doesn't work for you, change your DNS to OpenDNS or Google DNS, takes about 10secs.

Piratebay is always reliable and can usually find everything on there. I know there's others, but TPB is always my number one choice. More often than not, these search engines link to TPB.

Fuck newsgroups, the whole point of TPB is to not have to pay anything. I usually get my maximum possible speed when downloading shit off there.

Also, Virgin evidently isn't using URL redirection, so changing the DNS isn't going to work. However, like I mentioned previously, there's a piratebay mirror site which still works.

It's only a matter of time before other sites start getting blocked too. But pirates will be pirates and they'll find a away around it so in reality I'm not too bothered.

newsgroups are where its at homie. I got a whole dvr system setup with my htpc, and if you cant afford 9-10 bucks a month you need a better job.
