Who said Pens are a great team after being down 0-3? They're getting ripped by media right now especially Crosby being dick and all.

Besides, they're losing to a legit contender unlike Vancouver. You guys down 0-3 against Kings! 8th seed team that weren't favours to win the series. Unlike Pens, at least Vancouver has the chance to win 4 straight games though.

This thread is full of so much garbage, which is not surprising. The biggest problem with fans in any sport with their favourite team, to some understandable degree, is the inherent bias they hold.

The fact that the Canucks are having problems with the Kings is no surprise to me without Daniel. The creative wizardry that is the Sedins is gone without either one of them in the lineup and it throws off all the other lines. Together they are probably the most dynamic duo in the league. Now you have 3rd liners in Hansen and Raymond trying to fill the void on the top line and it has been a disaster.

Take one look back at the horrible trade by Gillis sending Hodgson to the Sabres for Kassian, and you'll realize the value that kid would have had in these playoffs. It seems as though Gillis is hoping Kassian will turn into a Lucic-esque type player, but he is nowhere near that at the moment.

Jonathan Quick could easily win the Vezina, and is a better goalie than Luongo/Schneider this year - no doubt about it. Without him, the Kings would be nowhere near the playoffs.

The Pens/Flyers series does surprise me though. I expected the Pens to win in 7, but Fleury has been a sieve thus far. Bylsma should have pulled him after the 4th goal in Game 3. His rebound control has been awful and he's been caught out of position (surprise surprise) way too often.

Good on the Caps for sticking in with the Bruins so far. I had them getting rolled over in 5, but Holtby has been a rock and while their trap has made for some boring play, its been effective.

Another thing that has been horrible these playoffs is the dirty hits/play. Absolutely unnecessary, and if the NHL wants to get real on player safety, suspensions need to be handed out regardless if a player gets hurt or not. A reckless play is a reckless play.

p.s. As picked at the start, my upset for the first round is the Sens over the Rangers and/or the Coyotes over the Hawks since most people seemed to assume the Hawks would win.

I'm pretty sure no one cares this year. It's too soon. We're still getting over last year. This season is tainted. I think we need at least 3 or 4 more seasons before we can go on another major cup run. The memories are too fresh. Wounds have not healed.

I'm pretty sure everyone cares every year. Especially when the expectations heading into the playoffs are already sky high, fair or unfair. It still wouldn't surprise me if Van came back and made a series of it because they are no doubt still the better team. Quick is just pulling a 2010 Halak.

What a win. Still a big mountain to climb but its a good start. Isn't it amazing how well the Canucks play and how confident their PP is when Danny is back in the line up? And the passes Hank and Daniel were making back and forth are just fun to watch. Last, Schnieder is F*cking Beaaast! Im not even worried about Quick anymore. Hopefully this game bought their momentum back up for the next game at home ice [:
