Eldest son Sunny and Shay's Indian wedding is fast approaching. Their experience is very different to that of parents Arvinder and Sarbjit, who had an arranged marriage 35 years ago and met for the first time on their wedding day.

Times have changed but their son's joyous occasion is overshadowed by Shay's difficult relationship with her own family. They don't approve of her marriage to Sunny and her attempts to patch things up have so far not gone as planned. As Shay reaches out to her family to be by her side on the biggest day of her life, will her dreams of a reconciliation come true?

Three generations of the Grewel family live under one roof in Windsor and the series will witness the birth of a new baby and a large Indian wedding.

Dragonfly is again making the 8 x 60-minute series, which was fi lmed over eight weeks using 28 fixed cameras. David Clews takes over from Jonathan Smith as director of the second run.

It begins on C4

this was good. the daughter in laws a bit of alright too. i like her multiple accents. how she sounds all prim and proper for the camera then the proper asian gyal comes out when shes on the phone to her mates.

Oh no not another show about Indian culture, they always expose the backwardness of it. Making us seem primitive, and that we only started to civilize when we arrived in the west

The wedding is being put on for the benefit of the cameras, cause u cant have indains tv show without the big-fat indian wedding.

But i cant see the negitive, bad light for asians. the family is living in the past. ect. ect that some people have said.

Then i if you speak to those womens fathers. You soon find he lost his balls long ago, and secretly wishes he could order is mrs around even his childern. But times have change.
