Flames have engulfed an Air France airliner at Pearson airport in Toronto, Canada, after it apparently skidded off a runway in bad weather.
Television footage shows the plane, a large, wide-body jet, burning fiercely with thick smoke billowing out.

The aircraft can carry between 250 and 305 passengers, Canada's CBC News reports. There is no word on casualties among the passengers or crew.

The accident took place in heavy rain near Canada's busiest motorway.

The flight is apparently Air France flight AF358, an Airbus A340-300

The Boeing 777's fly into Montreal now...not Toronto.

yeah its really bad.. close to my place.. here in toronto.. my parents work at the airport and as far i know its really bad.. sumone who was on the plane called sumone..and she was saying that alot of people have broken legs and wat not .. there are approx. 305 ppl on there.. and its so saddddd.. and the rain was HORRIBLe..

that is a fuckin miracle. from the angle of the footage i saw on TV it looked like no one could have survived. it just looked so bad. but its really awesome everyone made it, and i'm glad and actually impressed that no one jumped to accusations of terrorism.
