Maple Leafs pick up Jeff O'Neil, wtf...they do realize they have CAP issues to deal with...Oh well, another 30+ year old loser to the fag squad.
And Luc Bourdon, no idea who that is.
MTL picking up a goalie was good but how old is Garon? Isnt he pretty young?

garon is like 26-28ish i think, but im sure the goalie will take a few years to develop.

THE LATEST LEAFS RUMOURS.
TORONTO SUN: Steve Simmons reports Leafs GM John Ferguson Jr will be facing several critical decisions regarding his veteran UFA players in the coming days. There's speculation that popular tough guy Tie Domi could sign with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Gary Roberts might end up with the Florida Panthers rather than the Ottawa Senators, and Joe Nieuwendyk might return to the Dallas Stars. JFJ will have to find suitable replacements if he decides to let these players go.

doesnt matter wats happening, Leafs have no chance now. we had one of the highest paying payrolls, and now we gotta get rid of so many people. this is bullshit. i'd rather hold out for another year of a lockout rather than see the NHL seal our fate and never winning the cup again. :(

oh ...
as alot of people are saying STL wont give up Pronger but I keep hearing more and more of him going on the trading block possibly Toronto.
Leaf fans dont get to excited, this is still a rumour
Ive heard this on RSN(Hockeycentral),TSN and ESPN
so please dont reply to this as the biggest BS ever.
cause it could happen or it could not happen
if this trade RUMOUR does happen i would see either berg,pilar,2nd round or Renberg,Pilar,3rd round.
REMEMBER LEAF FANS THIS IS A SMALL RUMOUR MAYBE VERY SMALL
BUT IT IS GROWING.

trading for pronger? are you retarded? hes a UFA in a year. no way in hell we pay him what hes getting right now. and that Sundin rumor might have substance. I read about it in a couple leafs forums. There were quite murmurs regarding Sundin at the draft. It probably wouldn't happen but you never know in this new economic framework and why the hell would the Thrashers trade Heatly. He's still on his first contract which means he gets paid shit and hes one of the top 5 players in the league. and labtec, the lockouts been too long for you bro. We don't have Renberg.......... with O'Neil signing the 2 year/3mil deal, Roberts (who is tight with O'Neil) will probably end up signing up with the Leafs, creating a domino effect in with Neiuewy resigns and it probably leaves out Domi, unless he signs for the Vet minimum, which won't happen. Mogo could look like a 25 year old out there with these new rule changes but is it really worth it? Nolan's injury looks like it happened during the lockout and the Leafs are pretty confident about that, thus they didn't buy him out and would rather just let the League void his contract. Eg. Aaron Boone and the Yankees when he tore his ACL in a pickup basketball game. O'Neil is practically a younger Nolan and his signing provides more substance to the fact that Nolans gone.

well the nolan problem is sloved toronto has filed buyout papres just incaes this it's not are fault claim goes nolans why either way he is done as a leaf....and o'neil who is a younger version of nolan is 1.5 million a year for 2 years well thats a bargain and sets the bar i think for other players signing

- Rumours continue that Atlanta Thrashers forward Dany Heatley wouldn't mind a trade, especially to his former hometown of Calgary.
- Reports of Dany Heatley seeking a trade out of Atlanta are "greatly exaggerated. Burnside claims sources close to the situation claim those reports are false and Heatley is expected to re-sign a long term deal with the Thrashers.
looks like it was somewat over exaggerated.

Bob McKenzie is best source for reliable news.
dont trust score sports, those retards are dumb. Sportsnet is a bit meh to. TSN is probably the way to go for some reliable shit.
But yeah you're gonna see a lot of high priced "stars" available.
Knowing Toronto's track record im surprised they havent offered $3 million to Holik, Amonte or LeClair yet.
