Well iv jus seen an advert for job vacancies at this top designer store in my town.. Theyr recruitin part time and full time workers.. I know there a good chance i wont get this job coz they want atleast 3 yr retail experience which i aint got but its worth a try neway!! I would be buzzin if i got this job coz every1 would love 2 work here lol

Can u suggest things i can put on it which would attract their attention.. plz dnt give me silly suggestions.. :rolleyes:

Show them that u have the urge to learn and blag some voluntary work u done i nthat field, if u have no real experience of it. Main thing is be honest and show them that u deserve a chance and show them the will to succeed and also do some research into the company u are applyin for and link it in someway to your application.

Thanks.. il be as honest as i can! But i think i deserve a chance coz im well spoken..polite.. dnt look 2 bad either and very friendly..what more do they want! lol

dependin on what job u going for, don't think looks will matter, i can give u areference sayin u are good with pcs, postin on forums etc. LOL

How much experience have you got?

Presentation of the CV is essential as is the words you use on it.

BUT, the key is getting an Interview; thats where you can outshadow your CV....and thats where decisions are made to be honest...NOT from CV; but clearly in some instances you need the good CV for the Interview!!

heh for the people who think looks don't matter haven't seen the people who work at abercrombie (even though i now hate that store after working there...) or banana republic. from experience, they care about what you wear and how you look in general. my first day on the job at abercrombie, the manager took me to the back and she threw some shit in my hair and 'fixed' it to her liking. then she told me that she'd fire me if i came in the way i did again...

Just get a friend of the family and put them down on your CV for a ref, and maybe stick someone from skool/college/uni down aswell.
