I was at work bored yesterday and created a thread that said "what's goin on around here" and i wrote how the forums were boring. Pteradactyle came around and started his tough talk in that thread and it escalated. Hell, even you were in the conference call that day I talked to em, and he BS'ed. 2) We used Mexican 170" Ribbons in the gym for sparring (elastic). During Fights, we'd use hungarian cloth. (which you being a boxer should already know) .... start at the thumb, go around the wrist, start at the knuckles by the pinky after the wrist, wrap towards outer knuckles, then lay the wrap back n forth across the top of the knuckles, secure and wrap it in, move on to the figure 8's around the palm n wrist, wrap each individual finger, etc.... (you should know the deal)

3) Gloves come from 5-16oz, at our gym we either used 10oz or 12oz depending on the fighter. The set I used back when we boxed were Everlast laces.

4) Never went to the pro's. Participated in the amateurs, a few tournaments, rival gym fights, etc... All in All I had an amateur of 14-2-5

5) C'mon now everyone knows leverage = legs
You gotta twist your feet, and turn into the punch, while keeping your muscles loose, and just snapping your punch at the end. The top of the knuckles is the best part to hit with, and the fingers suck, they can easily be damaged. Sending the power UP through the legs, UP through the torso, and IN to the arms, and AWAY through the punch.

Our trainer told us to remember UP-UP-IN-AWAY....catchy n smart, no?

6) Best chins in boxing, in what division buddy? If you want Heavyweight, I'd say the greatest ever were probably Rocky Marciano, George Chuvalo, and of courseee Mohammed Ali. I think that shit-bag Cobb never got knocked out either, but he wasnt a good boxer. I can go on and on, but I havent got all day

7) Are you serious? You're insulting me. By now we both know who it is, and we both know I KNOW this sport. I can't see the sig right now, since I'm replying and quoting you, but im pretty sure he was throwing a right cross, and then dipping back to the right.

I know it's an Art, and when it's properly used, it's DANGER.

The sleep lab is goin good. No promotions here, just pay raises every so often. It's the same ol job, at the same ol place. I enjoy it though, cuz it's relaxing and not too stressful.

As for regular karate..... it's shit. It deals too much with "the mind, and essence, and all that other non-essential shit"

the little bit of ai ki do I did learn though, teaches how to snap a wrist only using 3 fingers, flip a mans body realllly easily, wrap a man up using one of his legs, and his opposite side arm, etc.... Mostly ground grappling techniques.

Well to get an idea of what the stance is like...if you're a righty, stand sideways towards the target with your left shoulder closer to the target. Keep your right foot 1-foot behind the left foot (which leads and is closer to your target) and spread them out about shoulder length, and tilt them towards your target at a slight angle. Press down on your left foot and raise your right foot heel slightly, bend ur legs, straighten your back, forarms directly in front of you with ur palms in facing you and about your cheek height.
