it's a 1991 honda civic dx hatchback. when i first got it, i'd literally (without exaggeration) have 18-wheelers and school busses going side-by-side with me after emerging from traffic lights while i'd be hitting the gas pretty much to the floor....pathetic. not much performance you can expect out of a 1.5L SOHC 92 hp/98 tq car. fortunately enough, it served me very well for my driving purpose. i simply needed a small yet compact car that was good on gas mileage. luckily it's at least manual.

soon i realized the car is incredibly agile due to its super light curbweight of only 2100 lbs. eventually i decided to throw on a few mods for fun and see how it responds and performs. before doing so, i decided to clean up some of the parts already under the hood with brand-new ones, all stock parts, in hopes of getting a better response out of my future mods. i ended up replacing the spark plug wires, spark plug, rotor, pvc wall, fairly new transmission with only a few thousand miles, carburetor, distributor, electronic distributor cap, fuel rail, ignition belt, and a few other parts i'm sure i've forgotten to mention. then i started throwing on performance parts: 10.2mm spark plug wires, cold air intake, water bypass valve, 2.25" full catback, muffler, and i got some 13" lightweight alluminum alloy rims by American Racing from my cousin's dealership for free. some accessories i've put in are an external tachometer (since it doesn't come with any from the factory despite it being manual), racing pedals that light up blue, racing-styled mats, 360-watt front 2 speakers, tinted windows (i did that after the pics i took below), blue led washerlights, blue mesh grille, chrome blue shifter knob, 4500k xenon headlights, clear corner lenses, and i think there might be a few more that i missed.

it's nothin near the best looking thing out there and i never intended on hooking it up as a real street-racing car but i've been having alot of fun with it. i've driven all types of cars, especially from working as a salesman at nissan but i've had the most fun driving my civic.

straight from the factory, it runs a 1/4 mile near 19 seconds and 0-60mph in 10.6 seconds or so. as the car is right now, my 1/4 mile time now is (i tested this at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ) 16.9 seconds at 82mph. i believe my 0-60mph is close to 7.5 seconds believe it or not. if only i could increase my power after 2nd gear, i'd be running high 15s/low 16s. i've kept up with turbocharged and v-tec civics up until my 3rd gear....then it's *swoosh* =/

the SPCA puts u on a waitlist thats 3 months long....i found this once place that only charges 97 bucks...thats not bad compared to the other offices
