yeah. the only shame in that is now we won't see the origin of THAT guy.

Oldman is so good as Gordon isn't he? this is the first Batman movie that really establishes Gordon & Batman's partnership and i just love how you get the feeling that Gordon is all apprehensive like "yeah, you're a great guy and all...but please don't eat me"

and how did Nolan direct a movie where the title character has FOUR father figures? how'd he pull that off without having a crowded movie? it's just brilliant.

my dad didn't wanna see it but he went to spend quality time with me. after the movie he was like "i thought batman was like a kid's cartoon, like that old tv show....but this was a GOOD movie!"

and then after 10 minutes of total silence in the car-ride home, he says "that sure was a cool car, wasn't it?"

i've never heard my dad say cool. this movie made him a kid again for 2 hours of his life.

yeah, in the comics he's a master of all fighting techniques and did a lot of training in the East...especially Japan. however, R'as al Ghul was supposed to be Arabic and had nothing to do with Batman's training. oh well. made for a good movie.

This movie blew me away. Best movie of the year hands down. I'm a big fan of the older Batman movies, but this is definitely the best one.
