Can I get a "HELL YEAH!" for Billy Corgan's proposal to reform the SMASHING PUMPKINS?!

Oh please, the Smashing Pumpkins were mediocre at best, and that other band Zwan that Corgan had, sucked balls.

Is it just me, or has anyone else ever noticed a marked similarity between the riff from 'Disarm' (undoubtedly their most successful single) and the riff from CCR's 'Have you ever seen the rain'? Billy Corgan, vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and theif? Hmmm.

I'll give you the Zwan bit, though. That project was terrible. Oh yeah, Billy Corgan's solo project wasn't too hot either.

yeah that's the thing, I dont think if they're going to reform its going to have all the original members. James Iha is with APC now, plus I believe Corgan blamed Iha for the break up. And Corgan didn't like his bassist too much either so Melissa Auf de Maur will probably be in. So I think Billy and Jimmy will most probably be the original pumpkins, which REALLY blows b/c those 2 were also in Zwan.

if its just those two that are the original coming back then its like they are changing their name from zwan back to smashing pumpkins


i give you a hell yea ...i do want smashing pumpkins back together again...it would have been nice is james iha would come back but he is also good where he is now....

Well I dont know if its only going to be those two.. I'm just speculating. I think if they really are going to reform and call themselves the pumpkins, James Iha HAS to be there.

they broke up coz of inter band disagreements.

IF they all can come back, probably minus Darcy, then it would be awesome and anything but a "diss" to themselves.
But its just something BIlly Corgan put out. He just said he wanted his band back. None of the other members have commented on it, so dont get your panty in a knot since you obviously don't want them getting back together.
