Understood. But, by coming on here - you should know that youre not dealing with someone who is highly religious. Its fine to ask someone if they date/smoke/drink - but, some people make it seem like its 100x worse if theyre musilm. No religion promotes drug use or random sex.

Actually, I live in Broward County Florida. They just found another suspected terrorist from here yesterday. That makes a total of like 6 from this area. Whats even more weird is that there are hardly any Muslims around here - like when I go to the malls and things, I never see anyone. Go figure.

Nothing much really. Im actually a little annoyed how everyone always asks "What religion are you?" And if you say Muslim, then everyone gives you advice about how to 'save yourself'. And if you say No, then theyre like 'Oh then it doesnt matter what you do'.

i think asking some1 if they're muslim or not is just a question to get to kno another fact bout that person. to me it's like asking, what's ur name, location, nationality, etc. i remember a long time back when a thread was made bout me and one of the first questions asked was if i was a sunni. and later i learned it was asked by one of the biggest male sluts, mo,...haha. so these days i dont think ppl expect for the other person to hav high morals of their religion. it's jus another question to see what u may hav in common w/ the other person.

so here is my take.. islam is a major religion just like christianity, judaism and hinduism.. right? it also happens to be the last one among the 3 in terms of the time of revelation.. right? hence the kinship is stronger.. go to india say a 1000 years ago and you'd find hindus asking each other what caste they were from.. just to get a feel of where they stand.. and i am sure a 1000 years back Christians were questioning the faith of their collegues.. just like the Muslims are doing now..
