Yup, it wasn't just a good Batman movie, and it wasn't just a good comic book movie, but it was a great movie altogether.

But seriously. With Chris Nolan as the director, Christian Bale as Batman and a host of other big names, how could it have gone wrong?

I'd so watch it again.

exactly...that made it hard for you to take him seriously but whatever its still a good film and another thing is i dont like the way the guy looked in the suit...the other batmans were better in costume however this is still the best one

1stly, The ninjas, how the fuck can you go wrong with ninjas? Ya cant.

But undoubtedly, from a dramatic perspective, it was a spectacular performance, by both Liam Neeson and Michael Caine. The movie in its entirety was amazing from start to finish, even if you don't know anything about Batman or comic books. The movie seamlessly describes Bruce Wyane's transition from a man to a bat, instead of just introducing some silly costumed do-gooder, which seemed to be the theme with all the other installments of the Batman franchise. It really makes the whole idea of a man in a bat costume make sense in a non-comic book reality, which is probably what sets this movie apart from any other comic book movie ever created, the sheer believability.

My only qualm with the movie was that annoying pimple/wart/growth on Christian Bale's left eye area, it was brutally reminiscent of the infamous and equally annoying Obi-Wan pimple/wart/growth, from the mildly entertaining dinner scraps that George Lucas graced us with in Star Wars: Episode III: The Search For More Money. All in all, Batman begins is my new summer favorite, though it seems to change as quickly as these summer blockbusters are being released. From Crash (which is more of an indie effort I suppose, but no less deserving of the highest praise), to Cinderella Man, and now to Batman Begins, it seems that summer 2005 is a new golden age for tinsel town. Kudos Hollywood.

No I'm not agreeing, but a friend of mine said those exact same words in front of a south indian gal I knew.

On topic, I love this film.

Cronos, you look like Chris Nolan.

Me? Chris Nolan? How'd you make that connection? I'll be dying my hair and getting colored contacts later this summer though so don't touch that dial!

And I don't know why everyone's bashing Katie Holmes all of a sudden. Not every movie is supposed to have a long legged, buxom beauty.

Alright people, I just got back from seeing it and all i can say is WOW!! Who knew a super-hero/comic book movie could have so much heart, and logic, and an actual story line for once! It has definatly moved past Spider-Man as the best comic book adaptation. Excellent work! :dance3:

Best superhero movie ever... except for Superman, but that's just for nostalgic value and whatnot..

I thought the batmobile was going to be horrible, but it makes sense - why would Batman have a sports car when he can have a Hummer that runs through buildings and blows up bridges? It was a character of its own.
