My advice would be to confront the situation head on. You know what you did, but hopefully this incident has openned your eyes on how you feel about your girl. I say you go over to her place and talk to her, and man up. None of this over-the-phone ish since, I think, it's really impersonal. Convey to her how you feel, after the initial shock, anger, pity, anger, denial, anger you'll be able to get across to her. It'll take time, undoubtedly, but I think this would def. be a step in the right direction. Goodluck holmes.
