Yeah, I've been thinking about the film since last night too. First I was moved, I still am I think he was/is fantastic in real life. But then I realised this movie was a bit too luvy duby for my liking. Which is understandable I suppose if your wife is sanctioning it.

As for his death I was told he was poisoned to death because his foes could never beat him in combat...that in itself is awesome to think about. Reading a few sites it seems he might have been involved in a Triad scam to lure him to his death with the strong paracetamol which swelled his brain fatally. He actually died in some girl's place (just him and the girl) so there are also rumours of an affair, etc.

However, Bruce Lee has never been bettered and that's when the legend lives on. :D

bruce lee fan since i can remember, watched all his movies...there werent many to begin with
I've seen Dragon before so many times, with Jason Scott Lee playing Bruce Lee...his death in the movie is really just a speculation cuz there are so many theories on how he died..
there's a theory that he was poisoned by his wife, also some say he died in coma cuz he was always suffering from the curse thats been passed down his family for generations...there's also a theory that bruce died just a few months before bruce lee and muhammad ali were abt to fight cuz ali, with his big mouth, talked mad shit abt how kungfu fighters couldnt last one round with the boxers, calling bruce lee a fake(before the combat, he was murdered in a conspiracy by a few pro-americans'...
which is true, i dont know..
the lee curse however is true, and that is just abt all the men in his family died between the age of 30-35...bruce lee's dad died when he was in his early 30s, so did bruce lee, and so did bruce lee's son, Brandon Lee...Brandon Lee was shot during the filming of the last scene for the crow

I didn't realise about the curse affecting all the men in his family. Your maths don't work out on his dad though because wasn't Bruce 18+ when he left for America with his dad's blessings? Then didn't Bruce spend a few years settling down before his dad died and Bruce returned to bury him? How could his dad still be in his early 30s with all this having occurred?

Obviously I don't believe in curses, but shouldn't someone have done a medical examination of the family line to see if there was a fatal disease being passed down in the male gene?

I've never heard the Muhammad Ali v Bruce Lee claim though. That's probably a very tenous link. I also doubt his wife would have killed him. The three most likely reasons of his death could be:

1) Mental stress on Bruce's mind was intense ALL the time. He could never do one thing at a time, it was always four things on the go, thus his constant complaints of headaches (not shown in Dragon I might add!). A simple paracetamol proved fatal to such a delicate brain infrastructure.

2) Triads poisoned him because there's no way they were going to stay out of his business (i.e. money).

3) Gene defect in family line.

Big shame about his son's death though. However, it must be noted from a rational point of view it was purely and spectacularly coincidental.

yea u're right...i'm horrible in math but that doesnt work out...i'm just giving you info that was read in articles, and now that u bring it up...even in the movie, bruce lee's dad lives to be well over 50...my bad...
i definitely agree that ur point abt coincedence, not a big fan of curses either
