Hey, i'm just wonderin on somethin, i was goin out with some girl she knew i was in the military and we talked and talked and the topic came out about me getting deployed for war over in iraq. She said she couldnt be with me because she doesnt want to worry about me gettin the call any time telling me to get rdy and stuff to get sent for a year with intense combat cause of my job description. Wonderin if a desi girl feels the same with getting involved with a guy thats in the military like myself.

Being in the military is a turn on cuz we know u work out.. but to me id be turned off at the same time cuz i know that u might get called to a camp somewhere across the country and then off to Iraq so id never see u... thats why

I think it boils down to the problem of being in a long distant relationship combined with her having to worry about if you're going to be alright... :neutral: I can def see her reasoning...and i think it's something that applies to all girls, not just desis lol

- How about maybe she is against the war in Iraq. I told my girl that I am going to war and its all up to her if she still want to be with me or not. At first she was okay with it and 3 months into my tour she broke up with me.

yeah that could play into effect..knowing that person you're with killed someone else..I watched "True Life" on MTV today..it was something about three dudes who just got back from Iraq and one of the guys took pics of people he shot up and pics of all the destruction and his gf got really upset which is understandable :neutral:

it depends on how serious we r... like my bf n myself... i wud tell him 2 do sumfin else but b in da army... cuz i want us 2 b 2gether, instead of chances of me being a widow...
but at the same time, if das his passion n he reli reli wants 2 do, i cant stop him... n i wont stop being w/ him either.

i'd date a guy in the military...its not fair to you if she's just being selfish...

and besides, we all know that you guys don't wanna go over there and risk your lives...

so hell yeah i'd get involved with a military guy...
