well dal is rich in proteins, and depending on the amount of ghee/oil used the purpose of fat is also served..fiber is served if u have leafy vegetables such as palak, methi, etc...carbohydrates comes from the wheat in the roti...yet the diet lacks in vitamins/minerals

I dont know about the lentils or whatever the word is because I HATE that stuff.
as for bread, eat BROWN WHOLE GRAIN/WHEAT bread. its much better for you and will give you less of an insulin spike.
make the indian breads with whole wheat flour. thats what I do.
