seems like everything just ends up in "general" section.
So in order to avoid weird,stupid and bored ppl of destroying
threads,let's keep it clean here.

Soo...do you believe in love at first sight?

I would say that i don't.I believe that u can get feelings for
someone by their looks/or something else in particlar wich makes
them stand out.But in order to love someone i think u have to get
to know that person to the fullest,love their good sides and if not
loving the bad sides,but learning to live with them.
But if u do have luck on ur side,the person tht u got hooked on
by the first sight might turn into the one that's perfect for you :)

I agree, I don't believe in "Love in first sight" either. Initially, the looks will have a hand in jump starting a spark of interest. But, I think thats as far as it'd go. Then, the focus will be carried on to the personality and compatibility aspects of things. These two would be the driving factors determining the potentiality of the relationship.

I think you have a major crush on her. Been there, done that. In the beginning, it does sort of feel like, that you love the person. But these are the feelings that eludes your mind to get to the reality of things. Once the fog clears, you will realize that it was nothing but an innocent crush. However, there could be something serious underneath all of this. So, only way to find out is, acting upon it! :wink:

I believe in love at first sight b/c thats how i fell in love w/ my fav cousins friend Prashant Shah who plays the keyboard in my fav cousins Indian band from Chitown. I met my first love Prashant at my aunt and uncle's 25th Anniversary 4 years ago in Chitown. The band performed at the party. The reason that the performed at the party was b/c it was my fav cousin's parents whose 25th Anniversary it was. I fell in love w/ him and he fell in love w/ me instantly but hell broke loose when my fav cuz and his other friends found out. The first friend that found out was the tabla playa who i was caught hugging. The first time i met Prashant i was like staring at his ass b/c it was a sexy ass. He also had nice muscles and looked good. Besides he loved music jus like i did. A few weeks before i met him he called me at my house b/c my fav cuz was living w/ us at that time and i went crazy. :) :D 8) :wink:

Yeah that's what it is....it's odd tho, i haven't yet met her, we've only shared eye contact several times. Oh that n i asked her if she could move over when she sat next to me in a lec cos my mate wanted to save a seat for someone (i kno, sooooo stuuuupid on my part :oops: ) . It's strange cos i kno nuffin bout her....it's like i'm in a bloody bollywood flick or sumfin :shock:

I believe in the idea of love at first sight. Maybe its impractable from a scientific persepective, but I like to tell myself its true. I've experienced it once, though due to circumstances nothing evolved from it. But it was love at first sight between the both of us.

But you're right - you can't complete the journet until you find out about each other, and get to know them. That is a very wise pearl of wisdom.

How can you fall in love with somebody if you don't know anything about the person's personality? your thoughts and feelings are based solely based on person's LOOKS! so that my friend qualifies it as LUST!

i definitely don't believe in love at first sight. how can one fall in love with someone only by the first glance? there's only so far that good looks can carry someone. love, i imagine, is this supernatural feeling that one can feel. it can't be replaced by something materalistic or superficial. you can be highly intriguied with someone at first glance, but to say that you've fallen in love, willing to give your heart and soul to the person without even knowing their last name, for example, is absurd.

I guess I would have to agree with most of u on this one. I used believe in love at first sight, but not anymore. Like its not really love, its more like lust, crush, obbession, infatuation. It's desire and lust that drives you, and nothing more. Beauty and looks add to the spark. It's stupid to believe in something like love at first sight, but sometimes it makes me wonder, u know about those who actually say it was love at first, and now they're like dating or married. You wonder u know, maybe we just dont agree with this, because its something we havent experienced first hand.

Just noticed people keep implying the love at first sight thing is purely to do with looks.

Not that i believe in love at first sight, but i do believe by looking at a person u can tell more about them than just their looks.

i.e. body language, not to mention the volumes a persons eyes can speak...i mean u can't figure out specifics but u can get a general idea of their nature

I've experienced love at first sight and it was that initial mutual attraction that droves us to falling in love but after we had fun and the "honeymoon" stage was over (which was about 6 months) we realized our personalities didn't click. But to me to this day he's the hottest desi guy I've ever seen...unfortunately he just doesn't have the personality to match.
