I've been makin music on the computer with various different programs. It's been 6 or 7 years since I started. I jus wanna kno what the public thinks of my songs. They're not great but I dont think they suck horribly either. They're all trance/house/techno -ish songs tho. Right now, I only have up a portion of my newest song on my website:
http://opracing.s5.com it loads in the background by itself and it's a 900kb mp3 file. So for those of you with slow connections, you might have to wait a while for it to download. Well plz lemme kno what u guys think, I'll upload more songs to download from my site whenever I can find a place to upload them.

Thanks alot :D . I started off using Mixman Studio and then on to Mixman Studio Pro. Eventually started using MTV Music Generator after that and then I was introduced to Techno eJay. Now I use Hip Hop eJay, Techno eJay, & Dance eJay to make my songs. No equipment unfortunately but I'll be buying some soon. I make alot of beats and tunes from scratch but you can only do so much with programs. When I have enough money to spare, I'll start buying turn tables & a synthesizer and such.

Yeah, that's pretty cool stuff bro' :) Keep it up ...
You'll find that the Mixman/E-jay software line are a bit limited in terms of what you can do tho'. For serious music composition, my personal favourites would have to be Logic Audio or Cubase VST but they're pretty expensive and there can be quite a steep learning curve.
For mixing/remixes I'd probably recommend 'Sonic Foundry Acid' or 'Native Instruments' Traktor DJ.
The Korg Triton is a wikid keyboard but a bit on the expensive side.
Nowadays, I use a Roland PC-300 MIDI controller as my keyboard and it works great :) A lot cheaper than a Korg Triton too .... but has everything you need ...
MIDI really is the way to go for music production these days ... with the VST instruments, MIDI allows for endless possibilities. With a MIDI keyboard controller you're not limited to a standard sound bank (like on most keyboards) ... and you can control literally any sound you desire. And the VST instruments that are out there are just simply ... --->incredible<-

Wow thx alot guys. Haha, u kno I'm not afraid to hear anyone say they don't like a part of it or somethin.
Yea I agree it's a really limited program. Sonic Foundry isn't even expensive so I'll definitely buy/dl that soon. Remixing is basically what I wanna do, not really make whole songs from scratch. I've attempted remixing some other songs and they came out better than I expected.
Closest I came to remixing a song on eJay was actually havin to make it from scratch. It was a rave version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...yea I was bored at the time but literally every little thing in that song was from scratch and I got good feedback from random ppl and friends. It's a bit on the funny side but ppl somewhat enjoyed it atleast. I have it converted into a mp3 on my computer. I can upload it to my website some time if anyone's interested in hearin it. It's about 4 min long I think?

The Korg o1wfd is an awesome keyboard --- its got MIDI capability too I think :) ...
The roland R8 drum machine is also a cool piece of hardware. But nowadays for percussion parts I normally use the soft-plug-in drum-machine equivalents or mix and match segments from drumloops I've collected over the past four/five years. Most of the time though, I normally create everything from scratch ...
