I'm trying to build that "V" shape... I know all about the excersises, but wanted to know your opinions on the matter? What works your "V" shape the most? What do you enjoy doing?

well, i do a combination of lateral pull downs/ lateral raises and seated rows .

you may want to try bent over rows as well.

1) The old school ultimate back builder, the bent row. This is no doubt my very favorite exercise ever, and it will test your strength and discipline.

2) Few supersets of cable pullovers.

3) With no rest after the cable pullovers, do your set of reverse grip pullovers (chinups are better if your strong enough) extremely hard, and I guarantee complete agony will be felt dead straight in your lats that will rip and burn like hellfire!

4) Then I move on to cable pulley rows. These are best for drawing your lats out to their fullest upon peak contraction.

5) Then I would do some drop sets of bent over laterals for my rear delts to finish them.

chinups dont really work the lats as much as pulldowns or pullups. but yea it's a good workout nonetheless. dont you do weighted pullups? i mean your body is/looks strong enough.

Yes, that too. I just didn't want the man to over do it.

btw, this is probably the biggest tip to getting a V. Lose the inches at the waist.

Try using the straight bar with ends slightely bent, in reverse or top grip(whichever feels more comfortable). Grab it from the both ends. Pull/bring it close to ur chest, or below it and hold it there for 3 secs. Inhale/exhale as you pull and release. Do 4 sets in 14, 12, 10 and 8. I add another one at a light weight just to burn it off.

Isnt the V shape pretty much almost entirely the lats?

aside from losing inches at the waist, wide grip pulldowns of almost any variety will start to build the width in your lats.

bent over rows build thickness of the lats, same with seated rows etc.

it's all meaningless till you get the bodyfat down though.

One arm dumbells all the way.

everything everyone else said plus deadlifts. I dont think it will really help you get that V-shape, but it will work your lower back really good (something that most (if not all) other back excercises fail to do.

someone told me to cut down on the protein, cause that builds u rather than cuts u... and something wit less weights more reps... but doesn't seem to be workin too well... lol...

no, do not cut down on protien.

you need to run, run, and run somemore, or do something that is equivilant (swimming) .. and ofcourse diet, which usually includes junk food for most people (which is usually the reason people have some chub on them.... get rid of the junk/fast food and watch the fat dissapear.

Yeah, my dirty secret is my love for coke... I have to stop drinking that - and I'm trying. Its tough because I love the taste.
