View Full Version : i'm so tired of desi girls

no offense to the ladies here, i mean that intimately. as you probably think the worst guys to date are Desi ones (which I wouldn't blame you for thinking so), i've finally come to the conclusion that dating desi girls always leads to a lot of drama. from my experiences (which includes 12 ex'es), most Desi chics have a lot more emotional issues with relationships and are usually a lot more insecure about them as well. as for when it comes to the differences between religion, it's impossible to get serious with one that's not of your same ethnic background since you guys will most likely have absolutely no chance of ending up together (thus scaring them off to get affectionate with you). and the oh-so dreadful rishtas....gotta love those. they'll be only 17 or 18 years old and you can expect your Desi gf to have to try to fight through at least one batch of rishtas every month. they've also got so many restrictions.....i think that sums of the whole of my point.
as for those of you that are getting very defensive right about now, remember that i said "MOST" and not "ALL"
i think i've just changed my taste to mid-eastern

i mean it in the sense that if a Muslim was to get serious with a Hindu for example, in many cases the relationship wouldn't work out b/c either one of them would probably end up breaking up from being too scared to progress. i wouldn't, and most guys wouldn't either, since we seem to be a lot more daring when it comes to using our hearts. girls take less risks and tend to think a bit too much. i believe guys act more on their hearts. of course, there are some big exceptions in some girls

i'm guessing you're not like what i explained since you seem to be unfamiliar with i mentioned.
i guess geography plays a big role in it. when i lived in jersey, which has been practically my whole life, i didn't experience those insecurities with girls as much as i have over here in virginia. don't get me wrong, a lot of chics in jerz still had issues but it's just alot more over here. the kind of thing i mentioned is probably rare in central and mid-western america since the lifestyles are so different.

notice how middle easterns accept dating and marriages with people of different nationalities much more than Desis do. i know far too many middle eastern people here in virginia and very few of them are of simply one nationality, they're all mixed up between different arab countries.
middle easterners share a lot of similarities to Desis but for the most part, they're more open-minded and less judgemental than the average Desi.

yeah not all of their parents are, but in comparison to Desis, i've noticed how they're much cooler about letting their kids hang out with people of the opposite sex. my parents let me date and talk to girls on the phone as much as i want, but then that makes them a big exception.

that makes sense considering how all the people i know here from Dubai and other parts of UAE and Saudi Arabia are very well educated. the similarities between the ways we (Americans and Arabs in SA/UAE) interact with each other are very similar. it doesn't feel like it's someone of a different culture or different part of the world.

havent you heard the phrase from camels to caddilacs??????????
MAJORITY OF THEM WERE BEDOUINS BEFORE THE OIL BOOM! It is just recent that the UAE has become so rich. Ask your local emirati friends...
The UAE's population of almost 4 million contains some 1.6 million non-nationals - indeed 50% of the population is South Asian. Many of the natives are originally from Persian descent.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES CULTURE - General Information
Heritage of the United Arab Emirates
The tribe has been the principal building block of UAE society since successive waves of migrations, beginning in the middle of the first millennium BC, brought Arab tribes to the region. The varied terrain which these tribes inhabited, i.e desert, oasis, mountains and coast, dictated the traditional lifestyles that evolved over the centuries but the common thread was the resourcefulness which the people displayed in exploiting to the limit their harsh environment. This was assisted by the age-old social structure in which each family was traditionally bound by obligations of mutual assistance to his immediate relatives and to the tribe as a whole. Among the tribe an individual’s selfless hospitality was the source of his honour and pride. A common religion, Islam, also provided the cement which held the people together.
The largest tribe the Bani Yas, roamed the vast sandy areas which cover almost all of the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Other tribes, too, such as the Awamir and Manasir, shared this challenging environment for numerous generations. All the subtribes and clans were accustomed to wander great distances with their camels in search of grazing, moving as entire family units. Almost all Bani Yas families, with the exception of fishing groups like the Al Rumaithat, returned to a home in one of the oasis settlements at certain times of the year. Much-prized date gardens were cultivated in the hollows of the huge dunes at Liwa, tapping the water trapped beneath the absorbent sands. In Al Ain and other oasis the luxuriant date gardens were watered by an efficient traditional irrigation system (falaj. Ar.pl aflaj) bringing water from aquifers in the mountains. In the narrow mountain wadis (valleys), falaj-like watercourses (ghayl) were used to irrigate terraced gardens tended by extended families.
Most of the tribes spent some of their time engaged in fishing and pearling ,which were just another means of exploiting all available resources. As pearling flourished, an increasing number of the able-bodied men participated in the dive (ghaus) during four months in the summer. Eventually, the pearling boom brought increased urbanization with a great mix of tribal people settling in coastal towns and villages. This process was hugely accelerated by the discovery and export of oil. So much so that life in the UAE today bears little resemblance to that of 30 or 40 years ago. Nevertheless, there is a deep awareness at all levels that the preservation of such a hard-won heritage provides a necessary bridge to the past and a solid basis to meet the challenges of the future.

i'm guessing you're not like what i explained since you seem to be unfamiliar with i mentioned.
i guess geography plays a big role in it. when i lived in jersey, which has been practically my whole life, i didn't experience those insecurities with girls as much as i have over here in virginia. don't get me wrong, a lot of chics in jerz still had issues but it's just alot more over here. the kind of thing i mentioned is probably rare in central and mid-western america since the lifestyles are so different.
Man try to live an INDEPENDENT LIFE!

filipinos date just about anyone
Wrong, filipinos/filipinas in the US if they date out of race usually date white people. Filipinos/filipinas in the Philippines date other filipinos/filipinas, and maybe sometimes other asians.
And about that just anybody thing, most filipino parents don't want their kids dating black people. My parents are secretly prejudiced about black people, talking about that most black people are hoodlums/thugs, menace to society, and basically can't be trusted.

no offense to the ladies here, i mean that intimately. as you probably think the worst guys to date are Desi ones (which I wouldn't blame you for thinking so), i've finally come to the conclusion that dating desi girls always leads to a lot of drama. from my experiences (which includes 12 ex'es), most Desi chics have a lot more emotional issues with relationships and are usually a lot more insecure about them as well. as for when it comes to the differences between religion, it's impossible to get serious with one that's not of your same ethnic background since you guys will most likely have absolutely no chance of ending up together (thus scaring them off to get affectionate with you). and the oh-so dreadful rishtas....gotta love those. they'll be only 17 or 18 years old and you can expect your Desi gf to have to try to fight through at least one batch of rishtas every month. they've also got so many restrictions.....i think that sums of the whole of my point.
as for those of you that are getting very defensive right about now, remember that i said "MOST" and not "ALL"
i think i've just changed my taste to mid-eastern
Amen to that brotha mayn, preach on
