I believe in something. Whether that "emotion" can be described as love is up for discussion. However, without having something like love to believe in or perhaps aspire to, life would not be worth living.

I can hear you asking ... what is love... but like someone said earlier in the thread.... love means something different to each of us.... I cant tell you what love is, you cant tell me... its something one will realise when you are in love. Like a man once said.... 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' .... something just happens inside...you dont know what... it just happens.

I'll leave you with a thought to remember....

Ok feel free to shoot me down as i dont know server rules etiquette etc etc lol.
.... but this is how i feel about love. Love's too complex to be boiled down to a single sentence. Yes it's a chemical reaction in the brain like a previous poster's teacher said, but since the entire human body is that, who cares? When ur infatuated with some1, u dont care about seretonin or all that crap, all u care about is that way they looked wen u first saw them When u hug some1 u love, u dont think or care about pheremones, u just feel warm inside. When u break up, what u feel inside is real, its not imagined, and it only ever occurs if u truly care about some1.

So yeah love exists, but what i've learnt is to truly love some1 by using both ur head And ur heart. Loving sum1 after theyve cheated on u is not love, its just madness caused by not thinking rationally. But then doing something potentially life threatening "I'd die for you i love u so much" sounds stupid, its irrational but hey who cares, in that moment thats how ppl feel with their heart.

But i always think about what Rumi said in a poem of his. Are you in love, or are you in love with the concept of love?[/i].
And in any serious relationship, that question needs to be asked
