EQUILIBRIUM
"In a futuristic world, a strict regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Clerick John Preston (Bale) is a top ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist the rules. Whe he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce the strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the only person capable of overthrowing it" -imdb.com
Wow this movie was pretty damn good. Ofcourse very different than a regluar flick. The thing I like about this movie is its not like whatever happens in the movie is not possible. Acting was pretty good. Action was pretty damn awesome, up there with Matrix in my opinion. I loved it! Story was well written. Overall I will give it a 7.5/10

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
"Joel (Jim Carrey) is stunned to discover that his girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) has had her memories of their tumultuous relationship erased. Out of desperation, he contracts the inventor of the process, Dr. Howard Mierzwaik ('Tom Wilkinson'), to have Clementine removed from his own memory. But as Joel's memories progressively disappear, he begins to rediscover their earlier passion. From deep within the recesses of his brain, Joel attempts to escape the procedure. As Dr. Mierzwiak and his crew (Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo and 'Elijah Wood') chase him through the maze of his memories, it's clear that Joel just can't get her out of his head."
I didn't like this movie as much as I figured I would have. Honestly I thought it was pretty boring most of the time. Story was different thats the only good part. Maybe I am bias towards this because I hate love/relationship shit right now haha. The movie is rated really good though, so you might like it. It was too slow/boring for me. Some parts were pretty neat. Mostly I was confused until the end it sort of made sense. Overall 5/10

The Terminal
"An Eastern European visitor (Hanks) becomes a resident of a New York airport terminal when a war breaks out and erases his country from the map, voiding his passport. He makes friends with the airport staff and falls in love with a flight attendant."
Very nice story. I heard it was true, not quite sure. Great acting by Tom Hanks. I loved it. Overall 8/10

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
"Four Jack-the-lads find themselves heavily - seriously heavily - in debt to an East End hard man and his enforcers after a crooked card game. Overhearing their neighbours in the next flat plotting to hold up a group of out-of-their-depth drug growers, our heros decide to stitch up the robbers in turn. In a way the confusion really starts when a pair of antique double-barrelled shotguns go missing in a completely different scam."
Funny movie. I was confused most of the time, probably because I was stonned. Anyways atleast I understood the ending sort of. Nice twist. Overall 6/10

Outrage
"Tom Casey reports to the police some youngsters stealing from cars. He becomes the target of the 3 teenagers, who start to terrorise him and his family."
Typical movie. Nothing great. 5/10

Ordinary decent criminal
"Michael Lynch is Dublin's most notorious criminal, his brazen robberies making him the bane of the Gardaí and a hero to his fellow working class city Northsiders. When not playing happy families with his two wives - sisters Christine and Lisa - and his children, Lynch is busy plotting elaborate heists, thinking as much about the showmanship of it all as he is the loot involved. On his case is Garda Noel Quigley, his determination to convict Lynch slowly turning into an obsession. Inevitably, a showdown looms."
It was an ok movie, not awesome. I like Kevin Spaceys acting. Overall 6/10

The Believer
"The Believer" explores a Jewish student's private journey to understand the meaning of Judaism in his life. Set in New York City, the Plot follows a morally confused young adult struggling with the conflict between his beliefs and his heritage. "The Believer" examines themes of religion, family, and self-loathing. It is a psychological examination into the forces of intolerance, both on the individual and society as a whole."
Pretty good movie. Good acting for sure. 6.5/10

I, Robot
"Set in a future Earth (2035 A.D.) where robots are common assistants and workers for their human owners, this is the story of "robotophobic" Chicago Police Detective John Spooner's (Smith) investigation into the murder of Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell), who works at U.S. Robotics, in which a robot, Sonny (Tudyk), appears to be implicated, even though that would mean the robot had violated the Three Laws of Robotics, which is apparently impossible. It seems impossible because.. if robots can break those laws, there's nothing to stop them from taking over the world, as humans have grown to become completely dependent upon their robots. Or maybe... they already have? Aiding Spooner in his investigation is a psychologist, Dr. Susan Calvin (Moynahan), who specializes in the psyches of robots."
Pretty good movie. I thought I wouldnt like it, but its pretty cool. The animation was pretty well done. Overall 6.5/10

When Adam comes back to them, however, he's.. different..."

Seven Samurai
"A veteran samurai, who has fallen on hard times, answers a village's request for protection from bandits. He gathers 6 other samurai to help him, and they teach the townspeople how to defend themselves, and they supply the samurai with three small meals a day. The film culminates in a giant battle when 40 bandits attack the village."
AMAZING MOVIE. It's black and white and subtitles but just plain loved it. Everything was pretty realistic. I figured they would do a lot of 'fancy moves' but nope, just plain simple, actually seemed like they were really fighting because they hesitated often between fights. Great plot. Amazing acting. 9/10

Confidence
"What Jake Vig doesn't know just might get him killed. A sharp and polished grifter, Jake has just swindled thousands of dollars from the unsuspecting Lionel Dolby with the help of his crew: Insideman Gordo, Shills Miles, and Big Al--and two corrupt LAPD officers, Lloyd Whitworth and Omar Manzano. But when both Lionel and Big Al turn up dead, it becomes clear that Lionel wasn't just any mark--as Jake soon learns, he was an accountant for eccentric crime boss Winston King. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Jake offers to repay The King by pulling off the biggest con of his career. The mark? Morgan Price, a banker with deep ties to organized crime. With so much riding on the outcome, Jake decides to bring in a brash, blonde pickpocket named Lily, who joins the crew in a complex scheme involving corporate loans, creative accounting, wire transfers and off-shore accounts. Jake and his crew will have to stay one step ahead of both the criminals and the cops to finally settle their debt."
WoW! Awesome movie. Some parts were confusing, but maybe I am just not smart enough to understand it? But in the end I loved the twist, it totally made sense. Great movie. 7.5/10
