lol I posted this cuz I wanted a comparison between Techno and Rap. You obviously like one of them a BIT more than the other. A eeeeeny weeeny bit. Choose one that u like even a eeeeny weeeny bit more than the other. Ya you're right perhaps someone else will come up with such a poll. This was just a poll I felt like posting cuz I don't like Rap. and I wanted to see how many American Desis vote for Techno. I know none will. All European desis or most of them will vote for Techno and Trance. I just wanted to confirm that with a poll. (BTW if you like both choose Trance since WORLD minus AMERICA cares about trance and techno). AND Techno and Trance is more diverse in the world. I listen to Arabic songs too cuz I lived in Saudi Arabia for 18 years. I notice that most of the songs adopt the Trance and Techno style in Arabia. Some of them that try Rap turn into cRAP and end up being Flop. Same thing happened with Desis. lol Some of the paki bands tried rap. As usual turned out cRAP. RAP is pretty limited to one region. So that's my opinion.

I disagree. You guys need to vary your listening and check people in the underground out. Jesus, you guys are missing great rappers. And yeah mainstream rap music sucks, it is one dimensional. But Hip hop in general is far from that. The underground is growing, Rhymesayers, Def Jux, Eastern Conference, there are a whole bunch of record labels out there that push big time in the underground, but none of them even see the light of day because of ignorant dumbass music listeners who would rather listen to the same faggy cash money rappers rap to the same candy ass beats. To say rap is cRAP is completely overlooking some of the better stuff out there. Not singling you out man, but I'm just saying to people in general--there is nothing like listening to a variety of stuff in each genre. Underground rap is as DIVERSE as it gets, and it is a collarboration of different tastes.

Ya but if you notice many Punjabi songs have a lot of rap in them too like for example, Snap VS Motivito- Power of Bhangra. It has lot of rap but the Music, they are sticking to the techno style. Now if you see other songs like PMC Nach Onda Ni I love that song. There is no rap in that BUT the music has a touch of Rap music from Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby. Now yet there is Kuriyay Kuriyay from RDB with both Rap style and Trance mixed up lol. Bhangra songs coming out are a Tutti Fruiti. But yes the Music, it's mostly trance. When they mix up Rap with that, that looks good too. You know why ? :P lol Cuz Punjabi Rules. Anything looks good with it if composed nicely. That's what I think.

Well 4 me, it depends on time. Sometimes when I am driving I listen to TRANCE AND HOUSE MUSIC. Feels good. Rap and stuff are good when u wanna dance and stuff.

Both are good. BUT TRANCE, techno, house is definetely BETTER!!!! way better.

Techo/Trance is repetitive utter shit. Sure, its great for clubbin, dancing, but the music if you compare is essentially the same in every song, just mixed slightly differently. Dont say I havent heard enough techno, my sis has at least fifty techno *shit* cds, and thats what she listens to. It all sounds the same, with some white girl in the background saying random crap. Rap, R&B and hiphop, however, actaully have a beat, and variety. Sure the lyrics arent always great (*ahem*: 50 cent + notorious big "*****z). Now try to tell me that some techno has more beat and variety than a song like *Dre Whats the difference* or *Youngbloodz Damn* or maybe even *Sean Paul Get busy (i think)*

Now as far as which music i like hmmmm......I love rap and i listen to it alot, i pretty knowledgable on the subject, that being said: Rap is stuck in being too much of the same thing, its a nice concept and all, but alot of it is similar, i listen to rap more for the lyrics than anything else, the beats just seem tired and recycled sometimes..now trance, that music is more about the beats and the way it makes you wanna just bust a move lol. If it was just based on wordplay i'd pick rap, but music is usually beats and rhythm first, words second, so after careful deliberation i have chosen Techno lol.
