:werd:
Nas had off Jay-Z with Ether.
Well, the man has been critically acclamined by people like Rakim (the best lyricist for me) and KRS-1.
He is best rapper alive.

He's still my fav rapper, like you said his lyrics have been amazing through out his whole career, they've been a level above the rest. I was actually a fan of Jay Z back in the day, and didn't know much about Nas until they started beefing, heard one track from 'Stillmatic' and bought the album and then went out and bought 'it was written' a few weeks later and then 'Illmatic'
Can't remember which track it is, but he actually mentions something about listening to this track and going out and buying all his albums...

Well, nowadays JayZ is after the money more then anything else.
But I do like Blueprint and couple of other tracks of Jayz.
Yeah, amazing rapper. His Hero, is off the hook. Siik production by Polow D.D

probably one of the best hip-hop albums out there
hands down, THE best rookie album
listen to the words, each track takes u into the life
but again, that's for kid who know their music
stillmatic was his "reincarnation" last few albums sucked (although each cd has few proper joints)
one mic, you're da man, poison are some proper tunes

Hero - one of the only tracks I liked off his new album. If you want classic listen to The Message and If I Ruled the World, now that's classic.
Other favourites include: Silent Murder, I Gave You Power, Affirmative Action, Life We Chose. That's all I can think off from the top off my head. Definitely worth checking out. New shit just doesn't compare.
