Oh I love dance music, specially techno and trance. But shah ji there are so many DJs out there and I listen to a lot of em like DJ Ross to mention one.
Some of the songs I like :-*DJ Ross Dreamland
*DJK I Like Chopin
*DJ Burnz I'll fly with you
there are a lot more, just felt like mentioning these rite now.
Plus in I like Alcazar. I think their songs are cool. European techno and trance groups seem to be always better than the American ones. Trance was born in Europe. There are more trance and techno dance clubs in Europe as compared to USA. Oh btw when did you go to the UK. Weren't you here some months back ? UK jatay hee you got a taste for techno and trance eh ?gtg

dude i would think twice about makin a poll like that for desi's you know cuz majority of the desi's are into that RAp is CRAP stuff.....

September 28th, 2003, 04:43 PM
No that's not the reason. Only those in USA are. I know lots of desis over in the UK, Germany and other parts of Europe that aren't into c[RAP] at all. Here if you check out the RAP praisers they are the ones in USA. I just wanted to confirm that with the poll and that seems to be coming out true. Cunning rite ? 8)

lets see... the best dj for the year 2002 was Dj tiesto. But paul van dyke, paul oakenfold, atb were pretty good too. Darude has some good songs.
There is a new hit song called Satisfaction by Benny Bannasi and the BIZ.
Its tight as hell.
2003 isnt over yet, so i cannot say who is the best for 2003. But I think Paul Van Dyke is gonna do it.
What do u think?

Paul Oakenfold is gettin on my bad side latley..i dun like his new stuff...since he's goen commercial...making songs with band boys..yuck!...
Paul Van Dyk is great......
But so far TIESTO is still number one....and he will again steal the show this year....ATB is good but has a lot of cheezy stuff ...and darude is not in the league of Pvd, Tiesto and Oakenfold......Armin van Burren is not too bad...one cant forget Sasha n Digweed

That guy is amzing..he is a brilliant producer..its a sad fact that he is not known much in the North America region..the guy is great with the fusion of DnB, Ambient, tablas and Indian Classical music..

Yeah, Talvin Singh & Nitin Sawhney are probably the top two asian fusion producers right now I'd say.
I'm pretty sure they'll get more exposure in North America over the next few years. They're both phenomenal, multi-talented musicians and so their futures look very promising :)
Its pretty wikid - they've set a standard for us desis to meet - and they've proven that desis can get there if we just dream & work hard at it!

Actually, right now my current fav. song is probably:
"Where Is The Love?" by 'Black Eyed Peas' - i'm pretty sure you've all heard it but if you haven't already, LISTEN TO IT, and not just the music --the actual words too ... very profound stuff :) )
Its quite a relevant song for the state of the world right now I'd say. Also very well written.
It probably contains the most powerful message I've heard in a mainstream song for a long time. (Of course 'Nas' is comin' out with a lot of 'meaningful' stuff too.)
It realistically describes what our world has truly become. The lyrics are sad and true, yet inspiring ...
(Check it out if ya' haven't already!)
Peace & Respekt To ALL ...

lol.. u gotta be kidding me morp. how on earth can u like that? its shitty! the whole songs just "where is the love?" where is it? it will show up when they learn more words =-O this shit reminds me of that song by those 2 lesbo singers, i forget their name "everything she says, running threw my head" thats all the song is" and only reason why its popular cuz in the video they got 2 girls almost going at it. music like this hurts my brain where the singers r to lazy to try and actuallly write a song

Yo Cheeseman - check out the lyrics to that song man (for "Where Is The Love?" that is --- they have meaning & a strong powerful message for peace). Pull the lyrics off the web and read 'em.
[There's more to it than the chorus, read the rap parts and you'll see. The chorus is catchy too though, me thinks :) ]
And that other song you mentioned? It's by those Russian chicks, T.A.T.U. -- yeah, they're a bunch of tarts but I think their electronica style actually works. Their songs have catchy hooks. And to tell u the truth, who cares about their sexuality? (well, i suppose it is a bit sick in a way but its their life I guess -- and besides, they ain't physically harmin' anyone I guess). Anyway its about the music right? Have to admit though, their managers are exploiting them a bit ... I don't really agree with their approach ...
